Abstract

This research was driven by the low levels of the Grade 1 students’ fine motor skills, motivations in learning, and creativity in drawing using a device, such as a computer. The main objectives of this research are analyzing the differences between the students’ fine motor skills, learning motivations, and creative thinking before and after the implementation of the Project-Based Learning Model, and analyzing the implementation of this model which was applied in a Private Primary School XYZ in West Jakarta. A mixed approach of the quantitative and qualitative methods with the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design was used in this research. The results have indicated that there are differences between the students’ fine motor skills, learning motivations, and creative thinking, before and after the implementation of the Project-Based Learning Model in a Private Primary School XYZ in West Jakarta./Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan motorik halus siswa kelas 1 SD, rendahnya motivasi dalam belajar, dan rendahnya kreatifitas siswa dalam menggambar dengan menggunakan komputer. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan keterampilan motorik halus siswa, menganalisis perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa, menganalisis perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek, serta menganalisis pelaksanaan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek yang diterapkan di Sekolah Dasar Swasta XYZ di Jakarta Barat. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kombinasi antara pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif (mixed method) dengan desain The One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Subjek penelitian adalah 22 siswa di kelas 1D Sekolah Dasar Swasta XYZ di Jakarta Barat. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan motorik halus, keterampilan berpikir kreatif, dan motivasi siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek di kelas 1D Sekolah Dasar Swasta XYZ di Jakarta Barat.
