Abstract

Penyebaran virus COVID-19 di Indonesia muncul pada awal bulan Maret 2020 dan terus meningkat hingga sekarang. Hal ini menjadikan masyarakat lebih sadar akan kebersihan. Banyak alat sterilisasi beredar dan dijual dengan harga tinggi dan minim fitur. Penelitian ini melakukan pengembangan produk terhadap alat sterilisasi yang ada saat ini. Proses pengembangan produk sterilizer box dibuat dengan refrensi perancangan yang dikemukakan oleh Ulrich dan Eppinger dimulai dari perencanaan, pengembangan konsep, perancangan tingkat sistem, detail desain, serta melakukan evaluasi dan perbaikan. Rancangan box yang digunakan telah melewati pencarian suara konsumen dari target pasar mahasiswa dan pekerja kantor. Sterilizer box merupakan sebuah alat sterilisasi berbentuk box yang berfungsi untuk membunuh bakteri dan kuman dengan menggunakan lampu UV-C yang disinarkan langsung ke benda yang ingin di sterilkan dalam jangka waktu tertentu. Sterilizer box diproduksi menggunakan bahan kayu pinus dengan ketebalan 15 mm dengan fitur utama auto – timer off yaitu dengan menekan tombol, proses sterilisasi akan berlangsung selama 5 menit dan fitur alarm penanda proses sterilisasi telah selesai. Pembuatan produk melalui proses pembuatan prototipe preproduction, kemudian melewati beberapa percobaan sehingga menjadi produk jadi. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji efektivitas dari lampu UV-C dengan percobaan terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli. Tahapan akhir adalah melakukan pengenalan produk terhadap target pasar dan melakukan pengisian kuesioner untuk penilaian performance rating terhadap produk yang dirancang, diperoleh rata-rata nilai performance rating 4,64 dari nilai maksimum 5 serta sebanyak 75,6% responden memilih ekspresi tingkat perasaan 5 atau sangat puas, 21,1% dengan ekspresi perasaan 4 atau puas, dan 3,3% dengan ekspresi 3 atau netral. Produk sterilizer box dijual dengan harga Rp. 855.000 dimana harga tersebut masih lebih terjangkau dibanding produk yang ada saat ini dengan harga Rp. 2.750.000. / The spread of the COVID-19 virus in Indonesia emerged in early March 2020 and continues to increase until now. This makes people more aware of hygiene. There are many sterilizers on the market, but they are sold at high prices and minimum features. This study develops features of the current sterilizer. The sterilizer box product development process was made with design references put forward by Ulrich and Eppinger starting from planning, concept development, system-level design, design details, and evaluating and improving. The box design used has passed consumer voice searches from the target market for students and office workers. Sterilizer box is a box-shaped sterilizer that functions to kill bacteria and germs by using a UV-C lamp shining directly on the object you want to sterilize within a certain period of time. Sterilizer box is produced using pine wood with a thickness of 15 mm with the main feature of auto-timer off, namely by pressing a button, the sterilization process will last for 5 minutes and an alarm feature indicates the sterilization process has been completed. The manufacturing of the product goes through the process of making a preproduction prototype, then it goes through several experiments so that it becomes a finished product. Furthermore, the effectiveness test of the UV-C lamp was carried out by testing the Escherichia coli bacteria. The final stage is to introduce the product to the target market and fill out a questionnaire to assess the performance rating of the product designed, the average value of the performance rating is 4.64 from the maximum value of 5 and 75.6% of respondents choose the expression level of feeling 5 or very. satisfied, 21.1% with expressions of feeling 4 or satisfied, and 3.3% with expressions of 3 or neutral. Sterilizer box products are sold at a price of Rp. 855,000 where the price is still more affordable than the existing products at a price of Rp. 2,750,000.
