Abstract

Tugas akhir ini membahas mengenai perancangan dan implementasi sistem distribusi informasi FIK UPH. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengatasi kendala yang disebabkan oleh sarana distribusi FIK UPH saat ini. Sistem usulan diharapkan dapat memfasilitasi kegiatan distribusi informasi agar dapat terlaksana dalam waktu yang singkat dan meningkatkan kualitas informasi yang diterima oleh mahasiswa FIK UPH. Pengembangan sistem usulan dilakukan dengan metodologi prototyping. Proses pengembangan sistem diawali dari proses perencanaan dan analisis sistem saat ini. Pengumpulan requirement sistem usulan dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner. Pemodelan perilaku dan struktural sistem usulan menggunakan UML 2.4. Selain itu, pengembangan sistem juga meliputi perancangan database dan interface sistem. Pada tahap akhir, sistem usulan kemudian diuji dengan menggunakan pendekatan black-box testing. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah sebuah aplikasi berbasis web dan Android dengan fitur push notification dari Google Cloud Messaging (GCM), yang berfungsi sebagai sarana distribusi informasi FIK UPH yang dapat memberikan kemudahan dalam proses distribusi informasi bagi Departemen Administrasi FIK UPH dan menyediakan informasi yang akurat dan aktual bagi mahasiswa FIK UPH. / This thesis discusses about the design and implementation process of the information distribution systems for Faculty of Computer Science UPH (FIK UPH). This system was built in order to solve problems that are caused by the implementation of current system. Proposed system is the solution that may increase the efficiency of the information distribution process and enhance the qualities of the information received by the students. Proposed system was developed under prototyping methodology. The development process begins with planning and analyzing current system. Requirement gathering was done by conducting interviews, observation, and questionnaires. Behavioral and structural modelling of the proposed system were modelled using UML 2.4. This development process also include designing the database and system interface. Black-box testing is used to test the proposed system in the last phase of development. The outcome of the development process are web and android based applications which also equipped with Google Cloud Messaging push notification feature. This application may simplify the information distribution activities and providing an accurate and actual information for the students.
