Abstract

Keberadaan media sosial saat ini tidak dapat diabaikan dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan, termasuk di bidang public relations. Dengan hadirnya media sosial, praktik public relations tidak lagi hanya mengandalkan komunikasi langsung, tetapi juga komunikasi interaktif. Dan media sosial kini membantu praktik public relations untuk memberikan akses langsung dan cepat ke audiens yang lebih spesifik. XYZ Indonesia merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang telah menggunakan media sosial untuk melakukan kegiatan public relations. XYZ Indonesia adalah layanan yang berfokus pada industri jaminan, pajak dan hukum, penasihat dan konsultasi layanan untuk membangun kepercayaan publik dan meningkatkan nilai klien dan pemangku kepentingannya. Tujuan dari proses magang ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran divisi komunikasi eksternal dalam mengelola media sosial XYZ Indonesia. Dengan cara melakukan perencanaan strategis yang dimulai dengan mengidentifikasi kondisi saat ini, memotivasi proses, kekuatan dan aktor yang berkontribusi situasi, tujuan yang ingin dicapai dengan target masing-masing publik, dan tujuan program secara keseluruhan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat melalui kegiatan seperti media monitoring, media relations, dan branding menggunakan media sosial oleh divisi komunikasi eksternal. Pemagang ditempatkan di bagian PR and Media Relations serta Social Media dalam divisi komunikasi eksternal, dan memiliki tugas untuk mengelola media sosial XYZ Indonesia dan mengembangkan strategi media sosial XYZ Indonesia. Berbagai kegiatan public relations telah dilakukan pemagang sebagai observasi dan evaluasi untuk meningkatkan strategi media sosial di XYZ Indonesia. Sehingga XYZ Indonesia bisa mengimplementasikannya dan meningkatkan engagement dengan audiens. / The existence of social media today cannot be ignored in various fields of life, including in the field of public relations. With the presence of social media, public relations practice no longer only relies on direct communication, but also interactive communication. And social media is now helping public relations practices to provide immediate and instant access to a more specific audience. XYZ Indonesia is one out of the many companies that has used social media to conduct public relations activities. XYZ Indonesia is a service that focuses on the assurance, tax and legal industry, advisory and consulting services to build public trust and increase the value of its clients and stakeholders. The purpose of this internship s to determine the role of the external communication division in managing XYZ Indonesia's social media. By doing strategic planning that starts with identifying current conditions, motivating the process, the forces and actors that contribute to the situation, the goals to be achieved with the targets of each public, and the overall program objectives. This can be seen through activities such as media monitoring, media relations, and branding using social media by the external communications division. Intern is placed in the PR and Media Relations and Social Media under the external communication division, and have the tasks of managing XYZ Indonesia's social media and developing XYZ Indonesia's social media strategies. Various public relations activities have been carried out by interns as observation and evaluation to improve social media strategy at XYZ Indonesia. So that XYZ Indonesia can implement it and increase engagement with audiences.
