Abstract

Dalam era globalisasi setiap perusahaan menginginkan kecepatan serta biaya yang rendah dalam sistem produksinya. Salah satu cara untuk mencapai kecepatan dan pengurangan biaya ini adalah dengan melakukan penerapan sistem otomasi karena sistem otomasi dapat meningkatkan efisiensi sistem. Salah satu solusi untuk masalah penyimpanan adalah dengan menggunakan automatic storage and retrieval system (AS/RS). AS/RS ini merupakan penerapan programmable logic control (PLC) dan komponen-komponen dasar otomasi dalam dunia industri. Perancangan ulang mesin AS/RS bertujuan untuk membuat sistem yang lebih fleksibel yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan yang berbeda-beda. Perancangan ulang ini dilakukan dalam dua bagian, yaitu perangkat keras dan lunak. Perancangan bagian perangkat keras dilakukan dengan menganalisis komponen yang telah ada, mendeteksi kerusakan, dan menambahkan komponen yang sesuai dengan konsep dasar. Perancangan bagian perangkat lunak dilakukan dengan mencatat setiap input dan output yang digunakan, memasukkan allocation list, melakukan pemrograman, verifikasi dan validasi program. Tahap akhir dalam perancangan ini adalah mengukur waktu baku untuk setiap proses. Pada akhirnya perancangan ulang ini memenuhi desain konsep dasar yang baru dengan pemilihan siklus yang lebih banyak. Siklus yang ada pada desain baru adalah siklus penyimpanan otomatis, siklus penyimpanan manual, siklus pengambilan otomatis dan siklus pengambilan manual. Program yang digunakan untuk keseluruhan sistem berjumlah 23 program dengan menggunakan dua bahasa pemrograman. Hasil waktu baku yang diperoleh berkisar antara 20-35 detik untuk setiap rak dalam manual mode dan 100-130detik untuk setiap siklus dalam automatic mode. / In this era of globalization, every company wants fast and low cost production system. One way to achieve this fast and low cost production system is through the implementation of automation system because it increases system efficiency. One solution to solve this problem is to use an automatic storage and retrieval system (AS/RS). AS/RS is an implementation of programmable logic control, known as PLC, and basic components that are used in industrial world. Redesigning AS/RS machine aims to make a more flexible system that can fulfill different needs. The process of redesigning AS/RS machine is done in two stages, hardware and software. Redesigning of the hardware stage is done through the analysis of existing component, detection of broken component, and installation of new components that suit the basic concept. Redesigning of the software stage is done by recording every input and output, entering allocation lists, programming, verification and validation of program. The last phase of this redesigning project is to measure the standard time for every process in the system. In conclusion, this redesigning project will meet the new basic concept design with more choices of cycles which can be done simultaneously. The cycles in the new design consist of the automatic deposit cycle, manual deposit cycle, automatic retrieve cycle and manual retrieve cycle. The program used in the whole system consist of 23 sub-programs and is done in two programming language. The standard time obtained ranges from 25-30 seconds for each rack in the manual mode and 100-130 seconds for each cycle the automatic mode.
