Abstract
Makalah ini membahas pengembangan sistem sewa mobil di Victoria Car Rental. Sistem ini dibangun atas kebutuhan perusahaan untuk mengatasi keterbatasan dari sistem saat ini yang ada. Saat ini Victoria Car Rental masih melakukan proses bisnis mereka secara manual untuk mengelola data perusahaan termasuk transaksi sewa mobil oleh karena itu perusahaan kesulitan untuk mencari data pelanggan, data transaksi penyewaan mobil dan ketersediaan mobil. Keterbatasan Victoria Car Rental dapat menciptakan inkonsistensi dan kesalahpahaman antara pelanggan dan perusahaan yang dapat mengakibatkan kerugian untuk perusahaan Aplikasi ini dikembangkan sebagai aplikasi berbasis web menggunakan prototyping. Proses pembangunan aplikasi dimulai dengan menganalisis masalah pada sistem yang digunakan pada saat ini, mengumpulkan kebutuhan pada sistem yang akan dibuat melalui wawancara, analisis dokumen, dan observasi, dan sistem pemodelan menggunakan UML 2,0 dari perspektif fungsional dan struktural. Kemudian diikuti dengan merancang struktur database, antarmuka, dan diakhiri dengan pembangunan sistem menggunakan PHP dan MySQL. Pengujian aplikasi ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan black box testing dengan skenario dan pendekatan pengujian fungsional. Proses pengembangan aplikasi dilakukan berulang kali dalam siklus, di mana setiap siklus tersebut melibatkan pengguna dalam pengujian sistem dan memberikan umpan balik sebagai masukan untuk siklus berikutnya. Aplikasi penyewaan mobil bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses bisnis saat ini dan manajemen data dalam perusahaan. Selanjutnya, hal ini akan memungkinkan pelanggan untuk mendapatkan akses yang lebih mudah dan lebih nyaman melalui situs online Victoria Car Rental. / This paper discusses the development of car rental system in Victoria Car Rental. The system is built upon the need to overcome the limitations of the existing manual system. Currently Victoria car rental still conducts their business process as manually including car rental transactions and crucial company data management Therefore, the company finds it difficult to search and view customer data, car rental transaction data and car availability. Those limitations can create inconsistency and misunderstanding between customers and the company and could result in loss of profit. The application is developed as a web-based application using prototyping method. The development process starts with analyzing the problems of current system, gathering requirements using interviews, document analysis, and observation, and modeling the system using UML 2.0 from the functional and structural perspectives. It is then followed by designing the database structure, interface and concluded with the construction of the system using PHP and MySQL. Application testing is performed using black-box testing with scenario and functional testing approaches. The development process is conduct repeatedly in cycles, in which each cycle involves users testing the system and provide feedback as input for the next cycle. The car rental application aims to improve the current business processes and data management within the company. Futhermore, it will enable customers to gain easier and more convenient access through its online rental site.
