Nonetheless for Myanmar (Burma), a country that was ruled by military-led government for half of decade (1962-2011), that eventually declared its democratic transition. Aside, the role of ASEAN towards Myanmar democratic transition cannot be neglected, answering the criticisms directed to ASEAN “Non-Interference” principle, in respond to the ASEAN Charter that is made as a guideline to strengthen the democracy among ASEAN member states, supporting Myanmar towards democratic transition is indeed also becoming the responsibility of the association. Data collection is conducted through observation and literature review. Data is acquired by validity and reliability analysis methods. Data analysis is conducted according to content analysis. From the research that is based from the liberalism, democracy, and regional cooperation theories, the correlation between democracy system implementation with human rights protection, and economic development in Myanmar can actually be found.
