Abstract

Cyber bullying can be briefly defined as the use of technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person. It often occurs among schooling people and they usually prefer using Facebook (SNS) as a tool for cyber bullying. This issue is now considered as a genuine social problem to all countries. This study aims to bring the solemnness of cyberbullying into perspective by examining and describing what motivation students (Grade 10-12) at Jakarta International Korean School to cyberbully on Facebook and what perception of cyberbullying do they hold. After conducting the research, the writer recommends that other researchers, teachers, parents, young people and so on should be aware of the seriousness of cyberbullying and divert more attention to this problem.
