Abstract

Tanah adalah salah satu komponen yang vital di dunia pembangunan, karena tanah berfungsi untuk pembangunan pondasi pada konstruksi. Pondasi berfungsi untuk menanggung beban bangunan. Tanah yang memiliki nilai kuat geser dan nilai kekuatan dasar tanah yang tinggi mampu menahan beban bangunan dengan baik. Tetapi tidak semua tanah memiliki karakteristik yang baik, maka perlu dilakukan upaya untuk membuat karakteristik tanah tersebut baik dan layak digunakan untuk konstruksi, salah satu cara yang digunakan adalah metode stabilisasi Biogrouting. Pada stabilisasi ini menggunakan bakteri, dimana bakteri yang digunakan pada stabilisasi biogrouting kali ini adalah bakteri Bacillus subtilis serta campuran antara bakteri Bacillus subtilis dengan Bacillus megaterium. Kemudian dilakukan modifikasi penambahan kalsium sebesar tiga kali lipat pada kandungan medium B4 untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh dari pemberian kalsium terhadap medium B4. Pengujian dilakukan dengan uji unconfined compression test untuk menguji kekuatan tanah dasar dan uji kompaksi serta California Bearing Ratio untuk pengujian kekuatan tanah dasar dengan memanfaatkan bakteri selama masa pemeliharaan 14, 28, 60, dan 90 hari. Hasil dari penelitian sebelumnya pada uji unconfined dengan tidak menaikkan kandungan kalsium didapatkan nilai peningkatan yang terbesar sebesar 141%, kemudian pada penelitian sekarang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai kuat geser pada sampel tanah terbesar dengan bakteri sebesar 684% pada uji unconfined dan 81.94% pada uji California Bearing Ratio setelah masa pemeliharaan 90 hari dengan menaikkan nilai kalsium sebesar tiga kali lipat. / Soil is one of the vital components in the world of construction, because the soil serves as a medium for the establishment of foundations in construction. The foundation serves to bear the burden of the building. Soils with strong shear value and a high base soil strength value are able to withstand buildings loads well. But not all soils come with characteristics as mentioned, so efforts should be made to improve the existing soil to be considered suitable for construction. This stabilization uses bacteria, where bacteria used in this biogrouting stabilization are Bacillus subtilis bacteria and mixture of Bacillus subtilis bacteria with Bacillus megaterium bacteria. Then modified the addition of calcium by three-fold on the content of B4 medium to identify the effect of giving calcium to B4 medium. The test was performed by unconfined compression test to evaluate base strength and compaction test and California Bearing Ratio for ground strength test by utilizing bacteria throughout maintenance period of 14, 28, 60, and 90 days. Unconfined test performed in the previous research where the medium used contain two grams of calcium shows greatest increase in strength of 141%. Current research modifies the calcium content to three times the amount used previously and the test performed on soil sample with bacteria resulted in greatest increase of 684% in unconfined shear strength and 81.94% in California Bearing Ratio after 90 days incubation period.
