Abstract
News published by mass media are, in reality, socially constructed, influenced by various factors, among others the ideology and interest of the media and journalist. In regards to the conflicts that plagued the PSSI, the media attitudes are also detached. These differences happened not only among media in different companies, but also between media that belong to the same parent company. Tabloid Bola and Tabloid Soccer are media under the ownership of Kompas Gramedia Group. This study is intended to know how the attitudes of the two tabloids on the conflict of PSSI, especially related to PSSI congress. Framing analysis with Robert N. Entman's model is used to analyze articles on both tabloids. The results of the studies show that Bola and Soccer generated a different attitude towards these conflicts. Bola tends to be positive in supporting the nomination of Nirwan Bakrie and slightly negative on Arifrn Panigoro-George Toisutta (AP-GT) candidacies arguing that the two figures nomination have been were rejected by FIFA. Soccer, however, perceives AP-GT as a new hope for reforming PSSI. On the FIFA's threat to sanction Indonesia, Bola regards it as a serious threat which eventually will cripple Indonesia football. Tabloid Soccer, however, is of the opinion that sanction by FIFA, if implemented, will benefit Indonesia. Such a sanction should be regarded as impetus for Indonesia to reconcile and reform Indonesian football.
