Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pola makan merupakan hal yang penting untuk memantau dan mengatur asupan makanan. Pola makan yang tidak sehat adalah makanan yang mengandung kadar minyak yang banyak, makanan yang pedas dan konsumsi alkohol yang bisa memicu dengan terjadinya GERD. Angka prevalensi GERD di Indonesia terus meningkat. Namun, belum terdapat data yang tepat untuk membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pola makan dengan terjadinya GERD. Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola makan dengan terjadinya GERD pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Metodologi Penelitian: Penelitian dilakukan dengan studi potong lintang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 108 yang diambil dengan purposive sampling. Pola makan akan dinilai melalui skala Likert dan Guttman sedangkan diagnosis GERD akan dinilai melalui kuesioner GERDQ. Data akan dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik chi- kuadrat dan SPSS ver.24 Hasil: Terdapat 108 sampel penelitian yang sesuai dengan inklusi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa, terdapat 63% subjek memiliki frekuensi makan < 2x sehari dan 37% subjek memiliki frekuensi makan > 2x sehari, 63% subjek memiliki jenis makan yang mengiritasi dan 37% subjek memiliki jenis makan yang tidak mengiritasi, 43,5% subjek memiliki porsi makan yang kurang dan 56,5% subjek memiliki porsi makan yang baik. Selain itu dari hasil data penelitian GERD, terdapat 8,3% subjek memiliki skor > 8 dan 91,7% subjek memiliki skor < 8. Berdasarkan analisis diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan yang tidak bermakna dengan tarif signifikansi (p > 0,05); Frekuensi makan (p = 0,548), Jenis makan (p =1,000) dan Porsi makan (p = 0,266). Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat adanya hubungan yang bermakna antara pola makan dengan terjadinya GERD pada mahasiswa kedokteran Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Dietary habits which are bad such fatty meals, spicy food and the consumption of alcohol can trigger the occurrence of GERD. The prevalence of GERD in Indonesia keeps rising. Unfortunately, there has not been an accurate data to prove that there is a relationship between dietary habit and occurrence of GERD. Aim of Study: To acknowledge the relationship between dietary habits and the occurrence of GERD within the students of Faculty of Medicine at Pelita Harapan University Research Methods: This study is a cross sectional design that involved 108 respondents. Meal frequency will be accessed by using the Likert scale and Guttman scale while GERD will be accessed using the GERDQ. Data was analyzed using Chi- square and SPSS ver.24 Results: 108 samples were included for analysis in this research. The data for dietary habit shows 63% subject with meal frequency < 2x day and 37% subject with meal frequency > 2x day, 63% subject with meal types that irritates and 37% subject with meal that does not irritates, 43,5% subject with bad meal portion and 56,5% subject with good meal portion. The data for GERD shows, 8,3% subject with score > 8 and 91,7% subject with score < 8. Statistical tests showed no significant relationship was found with significant value of (p > 0,05); Meal frequency (p = 0,548), Meal types (p =1,000) dan Meal portion (p = 0,266). Conclusion: No significant relationship was found between dietary habits and the occurrence of GERD within the students of Faculty of Medicine at Pelita Harapan University.
