Abstract
When mass media write a news, they actually depend on some aspects, amongst are ideology, value system, and goals of the media. Hence, the framing method done by each media would be different based on their adopted values. Framing shall be divided into two major dimensions. First, the selection of process of the issues, and secondly, the emphasizing of some specific aspects of the issues. Generally, those aspects are included but not limited to the news’ title, angle, headline, etc. The search of online news framing of Ahok vs. BPK has led to the tendency of such dynamic reality construction, of which will be the singularity of this research. Therefore, this research focuses on analyzing the two online media, Kompas.com and Okezone.com. Using the Zhongdang Pan & Kosicki’s framing method, it is found that Kompas.com and Okezone.com are both having presenting news. The methods are influenced by their own values as well as vision and mission. Hence, their way of construction reality is also distinctive due to the different objectivity applied. It is concluded that the ideology strongly influences the way of media presenting reality through its news. / Media massa memberitakan suatu peristiwa, sesungguhnya ia bergantung pada beberapa hal, yakni ideologi, sistem nilai, dan tujuan media itu sendiri. Sehingga, pola pembingkaian yang dilakukan setiap media massa akan berbedabeda akibat perbedaan nilai-nilai yang mengikatnya. Framing dibagi ke dalam dua dimensi besar. Pertama, pada proses seleksi isu, dan kedua, pada penekanan atau penonjolan aspek-aspek tertentu dari realitas/isu yang diberitakan. Secara keseluruhan, elemen pentingnya adalah pada tajuk berita, angle, headline, dan lain-lain. Penelusuran pembingkaian berita yang berujung pada konstruksi realitas melalui pemberitaan Ahok vs. BPK dalam ruang online yang dinamis itulah yang hendak menjadi keistimewaan penelitian ini. Karena itu, penelitian ini menentukan dua kanal berita online yang hendak dianalisa, yakni Kompas.com, dan Okezone.com. Menggunakan analisis framing Zhongdang Pan & Kosicki, didapati bahwa baik media Kompas.com maupun Okezone.com memiliki cara penyajian berita yang berbeda. Penyajian berita yang berbeda tersebut dipengaruhi nilai-nilai serta visi & misi yang mereka miliki, sehingga cara mereka mengkonstruksi suatu realitas menjadi tidak sama satu lainnya karena objektivitas yang mereka kedepankan berbeda. Maka disimpulkan bahwa ideologi sangat mempengaruhi cara media dalam menyajikan serta menonjolkan suatu realitas tertentu.
