Abstract

This research was aimed to explain how vulgar aspects were packed, distributed, and inherited to the later generation in a form of Folk Entertainment, which is Dangdut Koplo. Technology plays a part to contribute to the production, reproduction, circulation, and contents that can be enjoyed through social media, especially YouTube. Another contributing factor is the liberty of technology usage by global citizens, thus vulgar contents were presented either professionally or not. This caused social groups to become parts of hegemony. In theory of hegemony, the members are those who are under control of some group that want to perpetuate the ideologies of the ones in authority position. Those groups simultaneously experiencing regeneration in terms of status, function, and its role in the society. These groups basically are being used in a shape of mental manipulation. Texts that depict how social groups are making use of vulgar contents given by the ones in upper positions, explained and analyzed by Norman Fairclough’s three dimensional model of critical discourse analysis. The analyzed data overall brought up three new concepts that comprise of fetish-consciousness, domination and liberation. Those three concepts telling that the vulgar actions were actually under the control of social agent; the cycled dominance of social groups in regards to creating and consume; also mass culture development where individuals can freely decide social values according to the behavior of the community. In conclusion, vulgarities in "Dangdut Koplo" is deemed as a freedom of expression that nurturing individualistic. / Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pertentangan nilainilai sosial (vulgar) dikemas, disebarkan dan diwariskan ke generasi berikutnya dalam bentuk hiburan rakyat: dangdut koplo. Sistem teknologi turut memicu laju produksi, reproduksi, sirkulasi, dan penerimaan konten yang secara umum dapat disaksikan di media sosial, terutama YouTube. Faktor penunjang lainnya adalah prinsip kebebasan penggunaan teknologi bagi masyarakat global. Sehingga konten vulgar tersaji secara amatir maupun profesional. Kelompok sosial menjadi bagian dari kelompok hegemoni. Dalam teori hegemoni, kelompok hegemoni adalah mereka yang berada di bawah pengendalian suatu kelompok yang ingin melestarikan ideologi para penguasa. Kelompok-kelompok tersebut senantiasa mengalami regenerasi, dalam hal status, fungsi dan peranannya di masyarakat. Kelompok-kelompok ini sejatinya “dipekerjakan” dalam kondisi manipulasi mental. Teks-teks yang menggambarkan bagaimana kelompok sosial memanfaatkan konten vulgar di bawah kendali kelompok para penguasa, diuraikan dan dianalisis dengan kerangka model tiga dimensi analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough. Data-data yang telah dianalisa melahirkan tiga konsep dalam konten vulgar pada video pertunjukan dangdut koplo yaitu kesadaran palsu, dominasi dan liberasi. Masing-masing menjelaskan bahwa aksi vulgar berada di bawah kendali agen sosial, bergulirnya otoritas (dominasi) kelompok sosial dalam memproduksi dan mengonsumsi teks, dan pengembangan budaya massa dimana individu secara bebas menentukan nilai sosial menurut tindakan dalam komunitasnya. Sebagai kesimpulan konten vulgar pada dangdut koplo diwacanakan sebagai bentuk kebebasan berespresi yang mempertajam individualistis.
