Abstract

The development of the media today has contributed a lot to the society, one of the example is in communication. This is caused by the transformation of media which formerly knows as conventional media and then later on, it changes into new media. Instagram is one of the example of new media which has so many benefits in so many ways. In this research, the writer about to find out the meaning of symbol, index, and icon which is in Peirce’s knowledge in semiotics by using the parody of Apriliano Yudha on Instagram as the object. In the Icon the writer has found there is a different way of communication between man and woman which has been constructed. Then in index tells us that there is a nonverbal communication between man and woman which woman is more dominating than man. The last, symbol tells us that the texts in the video eventually explain that the writer tries to put the woman down because she always blames man all the time in every chance of communication. This is supported by the theory of genderlect style that there is a different way of communication between man and woman. / Perkembangan media saat ini telah memberikan banyak kontribusi pada peradaban umat manusia, salah satunya dalam bidang komunikasi. Hal ini disebabkan oleh transformasi media yang dahulu dikenal sebagai media konvensional menjadi new media. Instagram adalah salah satu contoh new media yang memiliki banyak manfaat dalam satu kali akses, oleh sebab itu banyak peminat dari penggunaan Instagram. Penelitian kali ini, penulis akan mencari makna, ikon, indeks dan simbol yang berada di bawah wawasan Peirce di dalam ilmu semiotika dengan menggunakan media parodi Apriliano Yudha di Instagram. Hasil yang didapat adalah di dalam ikon penulis menemukan gaya bicara antara pria dan wanita di dalam tayangan parodi tersebut memang sudah di terkonstruksi. Selanjutnya di dalam indeks adaya gaya bicara non verbal antara pria dan wanita yang mana wanita lebih mendominasi dibanding pria. Dan yang terakhir penulis menemukan bahwa teks-teks yang tertuang di dalam tayangan tersebut pada akhirnya menjatuhkan wanita yang dikemas di dalam cerita mengenai pria yang selalu salah di mata wanita. Dukungan teori genderlect style memberikan bukti bahwa adanya komunikasi yang sangat berbeda antara pria dan wanita.
