Abstract

The existence of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, bisexual, Transgender) groups in Indonesia whose people tend to be religious, difficult to get support from various parties, because the cultural orientation adopted is the eastern culture that strongly holds the values of religion, norms, morals and customs . One of the Organization in Jakarta is the Arus Pelangi Organization, the Organization is fighting for minority equality. The purpose of this research is to know the activity, communication pattern, campaign communication conducted by Arus Pelangi Organization is membrantas discrimination, acts of violence, equality of Hak Asazi as human being and acknowledge existence and acceptance to Group of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, bisexual, Transgender) groups. Relevant theory is Muted Group Theory, Paradigm of research used is interpretive. / Keberadaan kelompok LGBT(Lesbian, Gay, bisexual, Transgender) di Indonesia yang masyarakatnya cenderung religius, sulit mendapat dukungan dari berbagai pihak, karena kiblat budaya yang dianut adalah budaya timur yang sangat memgang teguh nilai-nilai agama, norma, moral dan adat-istiadat. Salah satu Organisasi di Jakarta adalah Organisasi Arus Pelangi, Organisasi tersebut memperjuangkan kesetaraan kaum minoritas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas, pola komunikasi, komunikasi kampanye yang dilakukan oleh Organisasi Arus Pelangi adalah membrantas diskriminasi, tindak kekerasan, kesetaraan Hak Asazi sebagai manusia dan mengakui keberadaan serta penerimaan terhadap kelompok LGBT. Teori yang relevan yaitu Muted Group Theory, Paradigma penelitian yang digunakan yaitu interpretif.
