Abstract

Perangkat telepon PSTN merupakan media komunikasi yang bersifat statis, namun dengan berkembangnya teknologi perangkat berbasis sistem operasi Android, jaringan komputer nirkabel dan perangkat sistem minimum memungkinkan mengubah perangkat telepon PSTN agar tidak lagi statis. Untuk mengubah sifat statis dari perangkat telepon PSTN dibutuhkan perancangan sebuah sistem minimum perangkat telepon PSTN berbasis Android yang menggunakan perangkat berbasis Android dapat digunakan sebagai pengendali jarak jauh yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk melakukan panggilan maupun menerima panggilan. Tulisan ini menyajikan bagaimana perancangan sistem perangkat telepon PSTN berbasis Android yang kemudian diuji dalam dua bagian yaitu sistem pengendali perangkat telepon PSTN berbasis Android dan sistem pengiriman suara secara digital antara sistem minimum dan perangkat berbasis Android lewat protokol UDP pada jaringan komputer nirkabel. Pengujian sistem pengendali perangkat telepon PSTN berbasis Android dilakukan dengan menguji fungsional sistem dan sistem pengiriman suara secara digital dilakukan dengan mengirimkan suara sinusoidal pada sistem dan membandingkan bentuk sinyal suara masukan dengan bentuk sinyal suara keluarannya yang dianalisis menggunakan osiloskop. Pengujian menunjukkan bahwa hasil rancangan perangkat telepon PSTN berbasis Android dapat melakukan koneksi dan juga memutus koneksi antara perangkat sistem minimum (sebagai server) dan perangkat Android (sebagai client), melakukan koneksi ke server dengan fitur pencarian server otomatis, melakukan panggilan, menerima panggilan, melakukan fungsi redial, menahan panggilan, namun mengirimkan suara secara digital dengan kurang baik. / PSTN phone is static, but with development of Android based device, wireless computer network and minimum system it is possible to make PSTN phone became mobile. To add mobility to PSTN phone a research to develop Android based PSTN phone is needed. Android based device will act as a remote control for the PSTN phone and can be used to make and accept a call from distance. This paper will explain the Android based PSTN phone design and testing. The testing will be divided in two part, first is the Android based PSTN phone remote control system and digital voice streaming system between Android device and minimum system using UDP protocol over wireless computer network. PSTN phone remote control system wil be tested for its functionality and digital voice streaming system will be tested for its quality by giving a sinusoidal signal to the system and compare the input signal with output signal using osiloscope. From the test Android based PSTN phone able to make connection and disconnect Android device (as client) with microcontroller (as server), make connection with auto server discovery system, make a call, receive a call, use redial and hold function, but send voice with poor quality.
