Abstract

Phlebitis sering terjadi di lingkungan rumah sakit karena berkaitan dengan tindakan invasif yaitu pemasangan infus. Angka kejadian phlebitis masih meningkat setiap tahunnya dan akan memengaruhi lama perawatan, menyebabkan ketidaknyamanan, meningkatkan stres pasien dan biaya perawatan di rumah sakit. Pengetahuan dan perilaku perawat dalam pencegahan phlebitis penting untuk menurunkan angka kejadian phlebitis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan perawat tentang faktor-faktor penyebab phlebitis di satu rumah sakit swasta Indonesia Bagian Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang dikembangkan sendiri berjumlah 20 butir soal. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling yaitu seluruh perawat di inpatient department 1, 2 dan 3 di satu rumah sakit swasta Indonesia Bagian Tengah yang berjumlah 43 orang. Data dianalisa dengan analisa univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan gambaran pengetahuan perawat tentang faktor-faktor penyebab phlebitis yang diperoleh dari responden dikatakan baik dengan persentase 79% (n=43). Sebagai saran kepada rumah sakit diharapkan perlu dilakukan supervisi kepada perawat agar pengetahuan yang baik dapat sejalan dengan perilaku pencegahan phlebitis = Phlebitis often happens in the hospital because it is related to invasive action which is intravenous therapy. The incident of phlebitis still increases every year and will affect the duration of treatment, inconvenience, the patient’s stress rate, and the hospital’s expense. Nurses knowledge and behavioral of phlebitis prevention are important to reduce incidence of phlebitis. This research aims to find out the description of nurse knowledge about factors which cause phlebitis in a private hospital in Central Indonesia. The research used descriptive quantitative method, with self-developed questionnaire as the technique of data collection, with 20 item questions. The research conducted on July. Total sampling technique is used to collect the sample which is all the nurses in Inpatient Department 1, 2, and 3 in a private hospital in Central Indonesia, which concist 43 people. The data analyzed by univariate analysis. The result of the research shows that the level of nurse knowledge about factors which cause phlebitis obtained from the respondents is said to be good with the percentage of 79% (n=43). As a suggestion to the hospital, it is expected that supervision is needed for nurses so that good knowledge can be followed by phlebitis prevention behavior.
