Abstract

Latar Belakang: Hepatitis B merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang serius yang dapat menyebabkan kematian. Angka kejadian Hepatitis B di rumah sakit swasta Indonesia tengah masih tergolong tinggi. Pada tahun 2017 didapatkan sebanyak 332 pasien Hepatitis B. Pasien ada yang sudah mengenal penyakit ini namun juga ada yang tidak mengenal pencegahan dan pengendaliannya. Tujuan penelitian: untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan pasien tentang penyakit Hepatitis B di ruang rawat jalan salah rumah sakit swasta di Indonesia Tengah. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 60 orang. Instrumen dalam penelitian menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisa univariat. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Juni-Juli 2018. Hasil: Penelitian menunjukkan pasien yang berpengatahuan baik dimiliki oleh perempuan, usia > 40 tahun, pegawai swasta, lulusan SMA, dan pernah mengikuti penyuluhan hepatitis. Pengetahuan buruk dimiliki oleh pasien yang bekerja sebagai petani, dan lulusan SD. Ketika memberikan edukasi kepada pasien mengenai suatu penyakit, diharapkan untuk tidak memandang latar belakang sosial yang dimiliki oleh pasien. Rekomendasi: Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, disarankan untuk mencari hubungan pengetahuan terhadap sikap pasien Hepatitis B = Background: Hepatitis B is a serious problem in public health that can lead to cirrhosis, liver cancer and even death. The incidence of Hepatitis B in Indonesia's private hospital in central Indonesia is still high. In 2017 there were 332 Hepatitis B patients. Some patients already knew this disease but there were also those who did not know the prevention and control. Aim: to describe the level of patient knowledge about Hepatitis B in outpatient department in a private hospital in central Indonesa. Research Method: This research uses descriptive quantitative research method with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study amounted to 60 people. The study used questionnaire as the instrument for data gathering. Data analysis technique used is univariate analysis. This study was conducted in Juni-July 2018. Results: Research shows that patients who are wellinformed are women, > 40 years old, private employees, high school graduates, and have attended counseling for Hepatitis B. Those who have poor knowledge are patients who work as farmers, and Elementary school graduates. When educating patients about disease, it is expected not to regard the social background of the patient. Recommendation: For future researchers, it is advisable to look for a correlation between knowledge and attitudes of Hepatitis B patients.
