Abstract

Pemberian obat kepada pasien merupakan salah satu tindakan dalam asuhan keperawatan. Dalam pemberian obat kepada pasien perawat perlu memperhatikan aspek enam benar obat untuk mengurangi risiko terjadinya medication error. Aspek enam benar obat meliputi: benar pasien, benar obat, benar dosis, benar rute, benar waktu dan benar dokumentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan pengetahuan perawat tentang enam benar obat dengan penerapan prinsip pemberian obat enam benar di satu rumah sakit swasta di Indonesia Barat. Metode penelitian adalah analisis korelasi dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan observasi. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh perawat yang bekerja di ruang rawat inap satu rumah sakit swasta di Indonesia Barat, sejumlah 32 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner yang sudah dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, serta lembar observasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampling. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan perawat tentang enam benar obat dengan penerapan prinsip pemberian obat enam benar di ruang rawat inap satu rumah sakit swasta Indonesia Barat, dengan hasil nilai p = 0,072 dengan p value = 0,05 sehingga p > p value = Drug administration is one of the actions in nursing care. Nurses have to pay attention in administering medication based on the six rights medications in order to prevent medication error. The six rights aspects of the medicine include: right patient, right medication, right dose, right route, right time and right documentation. The aim of this study is to describe the relationship between nurses knowledge about six rights medications towards the principle of administration of six rights medication in the private hospital in Western Indonesia. Research method is correlation analysis using questionnaire to assess the knowledge and observation to see six right medication’s administration principle. The population of this research are nurses who working in inpatient room private hospital wards in Western Indonesia with a total 32 people. The research instrument used was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, and also an observation sheet. This research will use a total sampling. The results of this study is that there is no significant relationship between nurses' knowledge of the six correct drugs with the application of the six correct drug administration principles in the inpatient unit of a Western Indonesian private hospital, with the results of p = 0.072 with p value = 0.05 so that p > p value.
