Abstract

Teenagers need mentoring in searching their identity. This is usually done by parents, teachers or friends. However, in the big city such as Jakarta, parents are to busy and they do not become as a good row model. IPEKA as a Christian educational institution located in Jakarta provides not only good in academic but also in characters building to the students. Therfore, teacher shepherding on faith discipleship is noticed strongly. This research was conducted at IPEKA Tomang Christian High School, West Jakarta. The research subjects were class 12 totaling 30 students. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the role of teachers and peer interaction had a positive influence on adolescent existential beliefs. Processing data uses simple and multiple regression analysis. It can be concluded (1) the role of teachers as pastors positively influences adolescent existential beliefs, (2) peer interaction has a positive effect on adolescent existential beliefs, (3) the value of the influence of teacher roles as pastors and peer interaction on adolescent existential beliefs is 58.9%, (4) the role of the teacher as pastor contributes a greater influence which is 38.9% rather than peer interaction which contributes influence by 20%. / Remaja perlu bimbingan dalam mencari identitas mereka. Ini biasanya dilakukan oleh orang tua, guru atau teman. Namun, di kota besar seperti Jakarta, orang tua sibuk dan mereka tidak menjadi panutan yang baik. IPEKA sebagai lembaga pendidikan Kristen yang berlokasi di Jakarta tidak hanya memberikan akademik yang baik tetapi juga membangun karakter bagi para siswa. Karenanya, penggembalaan guru tentang pemuridan iman sangat diperhatikan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Kristen IPEKA Tomang, Jakarta Barat. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas 12 yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah peran guru dan interaksi teman sebaya memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kepercayaan eksistensial remaja. Pemrosesan data menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana dan berganda. Dapat disimpulkan (1) peran guru sebagai gembala berpengaruh positif terhadap kepercayaan eksistensial remaja, (2) interaksi teman sebaya berpengaruh positif terhadap kepercayaan eksistensial remaja, (3) nilai pengaruh peran guru sebagai gembala dan interaksi teman sebaya terhadap kepercayaan eksistensial remaja adalah 58,9%, (4) peran guru sebagai gembala memberikan kontribusi pengaruh yang lebih besar yaitu 38,9% daripada interaksi teman sebaya yang memberikan kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 20%.
