Abstract

Perkembangan informasi dan globalisasi telah memaksa suatu perusahaan untuk mampu bersaing dalam pasar dunia. Untuk dapat bersaing dalam pasar dunia, perusahaan perlu memiliki kualitas sumber daya manusia yang memiliki sikap proaktif, engaged dalam pekerjaan yang dimiliki sehingga mampu bekerja dibawah tekanan, memiliki daya juang, serta memiliki ketahanan yang tinggi dalam menghadapi persaingan. Oleh karena itu, perusahaan membutuhkan karyawan yang memiliki work engagement yang tinggi. Work engagement merupakan salah satu aspek yang memiliki peran penting dalam berbagai hal yang berkaitan dengan organisasi perusahaan dan karyawan. Karyawan yang engaged, akan menampilkan sikap kerja yang inovatif, memiliki efektivitas dan kinerja yang bagus selama bekerja. Selain itu, karyawan akan memiliki perasaan bahwa dirinya sebagai bagian dari perusahaan, sehingga dapat terbangun hubungan yang mendalam antara karyawan dan perusahaan. Work Engagement dibagi kedalam tiga dimensi berdasarkan work engagement theory. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran Work Engagement karyawan di PT. Bank Mega, Tbk yang bekerja di kantor pusat Jakarta. Partisipan terdiri dari 45 karyawan yang mengisi kuesioner work engagement yang telah diadaptasi dari Utrech Work Engagement Scale (UWES) oleh Schaufeli dan Bakker (2003) dari Work Engagement. Hasil pengolahan data memperlihatkan bahwa 64.4% karyawan PT. Bank Mega, Tbk di kantor pusat yang menjadi partisipan memiliki tingkat work engagement sedang atau rata-rata dan 20% memiliki tingkat work engagement tinggi / The development of information and globalization has forced a company to be able to compete in the world market. To be able to compete in the world market, companies need to have quality human resources who have a proactive attitude, are engaged in their work so that they are able to work under pressure, have fighting power, and have high resilience in facing competition. Therefore, companies need employees who have high work engagement. Work engagement is an aspect that has an important role in various matters relating to company organizations and employees. Employees who are engaged will display innovative work attitudes, have good effectiveness and performance while working. In addition, employees will have a feeling that they are part of the company, so that a deep relationship can be built between employees and the company. Work Engagement is divided into three dimensions based on work engagement theory. This study aims to see an overview of employee Work Engagement at PT. Bank Mega, Tbk which works at the head office in Jakarta. Participants consisted of 45 employees who filled out a work engagement questionnaire that was adapted from the Utrech Work Engagement Scale (UWES) by Schaufeli and Bakker (2003) from Work Engagement. The results of data processing show that 64.4% of employees of PT. Bank Mega, Tbk at the head office which is a participant has a medium or average level of work engagement and 20% has a high level of work engagement.
