Abstract

Mahasiswa merupakan individu yang terdaftar dan belajar di perguruan tinggi dengan rentang usia 18 sampai 23 tahun. Mahasiswa berada di periode emerging adult yang mulai terlibat pada perilaku yang melanggar nilai moral seperti mengonsumsi narkoba, perilaku seks, bahkan terlibat pada kekerasan seksual. Hal ini dapat terjadi salah satunya karena kurangnya pegangan terhadap agama. Kurangnya religiositas dapat menyebabkan hilangnya kontrol diri yang dapat menyebabkan terlibat dalam perilaku yang melanggar nilai moral. Salah satu penelitian menyebutkan bahwa religisoitas mempengaruhi kompetensi moral. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh religiositas terhadap kompetensi moral. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif yang dilakukan kepada 161 partisipan yang merupakan mahasiswa di Jabodetabek. Alat ukur yang dipakai adalah The Four Basic Dimensions of Religiousness dan Moral Competence Test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara religiositas terhadap kompetensi moral pada mahasiswa (β = -.2; p < 0.05). Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan terdapat hasil korelasi antara tipologi moral communities dengan kompetensi moral (rs = -.16, p < 0.05) Adapun hasil analisis lainnya juga dituliskan dalam diskusi penelitian ini. / College student are individuals who are enrolled and studying at universities ranging in age 19 to 23 years old. College student are in an emerging adults period who begin to engage in behaviors that violates moral values such as taking drugs, sex behavior even engaging in sexual violence. This can happen to them because of the lack of a grip on religion. A lack of religiosity can lead to loss of self-control that can lead to engaging in immoral behavior. One of the studies mentioned that religiosity affects moral competence. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to see the influence of religiosity on moral competence. This study used quantitative research method conducted on 161 participants who are college students in Jabodetabek. The measuring instruments used is The Four Basic Dimensions of Religiousness Scale and Moral Competence Test. The results of this study showed significant influence between religiosity and moral competence in college students (β = -.2; p < 0.05). Furthermore, this study also showed there is a significant correlation between the typology of moral communities and moral competence (rs = -.16, p < 0.05) while the result of other analyses are also written in the discussion of this study.
