Abstract

Latar Belakang: Identifikasi pasien merupakan suatu proses kegiatan identifikasi dengan memasang gelang identifikasi pasien rawat inap pada pergelangan tangan yang mudah diakses dan mencantumkan nama, tempat/tanggal lahir serta nomor rekam medis dan sangat penting untuk dilakukan. Identifikasi pasien merupakan salah satu komponen keselamatan pasien (patient safety) yang perlu diterapkan dengan benar guna menghindarkan pasien dari cedera. Tujuan Penelitian: untuk mengobservasi pelaksanaan identifikasi pasien dengan benar oleh perawat di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Siloam Lippo Cikarang. Metode: deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Populasi: 40 perawat pelaksana di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Lippo Cikarang. Data diambil dengan teknik accidental sampling dengan sampel 35 orang perawat. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi checklist dari SOP SHLC. Hasil penelitian: menunjukan bahwa dari 35 responden terdapat 7 (20%) responden melaksanakan identifikasi pasien dengan benar, sedangkan 28 (80%) responden tidak melaksanakan identifikasi pasien dengan benar. Kesimpulan: Lebih dari separuh perawat di ruang rawat inap Siloam Hospitals Lippo Cikarang tidak melaksanakan identifikasi pasien dengan benar. Saran: Peneliti selanjutnya untuk dapat melakukan penelitian sejenis dengan menggunakan jumlah sampel yang lebih besar agar hasil penelitian dapat digeneralisasi di rumah sakit lain / Background: The identification of the patient is a process conducted by giving identification bracelet to in-patients to wear for easy identification of name, place/date of birth and medical record number and this is very important to do. Patient identification is one of the patient safety components that needs to be applied properly for patient safety. Objective: to observe the correct implementation of patient identification by the nurses at the SiloamLippo Cikarang Hospitals wards. Method: descriptive quantitative using descriptive analysis with population of 40 nurses in in-patients wards of Siloam Lippo Cikarang Hospitals. Data is collecting using accidental sampling from 35 nurses. Instrument of this research is observation checklist sheet from SOP SHLC. Result: show that from 35 respondents there are 7 (20%) of respondents performed patient identification correctly, while 28 (80%) of respondents do not conduct patient identification correctly. Conclusions: More than half of the nurses at the Siloam Lippo Cikarang Hospitals wards did not conduct the right patient identification. Recommendation: it is recommended that future researches can conduct similar research by adding length of work, using bigger sample quantity so that the research result can be generalized in other Hospitals.
