Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini yaitu pengunjung ruang isolasi berisiko terpajan virus dan bakteri ketika ke ruang isolasi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya pengendalian dengan penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD). Penelitian ini mempelajari gambaran faktor yang berhubungan dengan penggunaan APD pada pengunjung ruang isolasi Rumah Sakit Siloam Sriwijaya Palembang. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah accidental sampling, yakni pengunjung ruang isolasi di Rumah Sakit Siloam Sriwijaya. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang berisi 25 pertanyaan dan study pendahuluan melalui observasi pengunjung ruang isolasi. Variabel penelitian adalah faktor penyebab (pengetahuan dan sikap), faktor penguat (ketersediaan APD dan pendidikan kesehatan). Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa faktor yang tertinggi yaitu faktor penyebab (pengetahun dan sikap) sebanyak 32 orang (100%), dan yang terendah yaitu dari faktor penguat (ketersediaan APD dan pendidikan kesehatan). Ketersediaan APD, responden yang menjawab tersedia yaitu sebanyak 13 orang (40,62%) dan pendidikan kesehatan, responden yang menjawab diberikan yaitu sebanyak 15 orang (46,88%). Analisa dari hasil yang diperoleh, responden telah mempunyai pengetahuan dan sikap yang baik dalam penggunaan APD, namun dalam ketersedian APD dan pendidikan kesehatan yang diberikan masih kurang. Saran dari peneliti yaitu agar Rumah Sakit Siloam Sriwijya Palembang dapat mengoptimalkan penggunaan APD di Rumah Sakit dan peneliti selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian yang sama dengan kuesioner yang dimodifikasi dan sampel yang lebih luas / Background is visitor in isolation room speculated exposed virus and bacteria when come to the room. Therefore, it is necessary to control efforts with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This study used factors related to the use of PPE in the guest room isolation Siloam Sriwijaya Hospital Palembang. Method this study used quantitative descriptive method. The sampling technique of this study used accidental sampling, that is living room at Siloam Sriwijaya Hospital. Data was obtained by distributing questionnaires which contained 25 questions and the researcher did the previous study through patient visitor observation. The study variables are the causal factors (knowledge and attitude), the strengthening factor (acceleration of PPE and health education). Result could be concluded that the highest factor was the cause (knowledge and attitude) as much as 32 people (100%), and which is the reinforcing factor (such as PPE and health education). Availability of PPE which amounts to equal to 13 people (40,62%) and health education responder which given as many as 15 person (46,88%). Analysis from the results obtained, respondents already had good knowledge and good attitude in the use of PPE, the equipments of PPE in isolation room is limited and the health education is still lacking. Recommendation to hospitals needs can optimize the use of PPE in the Hospital and the researcher can then do the same research with the modified questionnaire and the wider sample.
