Abstract
In this globalization era, economic competition has become tougher, increasing the chance of financial distress of the company who cannot compete. The data reported by Indonesia Stock Exchange shows that several companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange had been forced to be delisted. This shows that financial distress of the company still cannot be prevented. Numerous previous researches had been conducted to find out the factors influencing financial distress using financial ratio. Commonly used financial ratios to predict financial distress includes profitability, liquidity and leverage ratio. Therefore, this research aims to analyze factors influencing financial distress in manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The independent variables used in this research are Return on Asset (RoA) to represent profitability, Current Ratio (CR) to represent liquidity and Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) to represent leverage. This research uses quantitative method with the samples of manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period of 2016 until 2018. Using purposive sampling method, total of 20 companies are chosen as the sample. Overall, the total sample will be 60 companies for three years period. This research analyzes the data using logistic regression model. The result of this research shows that profitability ratio influences financial distress of company, liquidity ratio do not influences financial distress of company and leverage ratio do not influence financial distress of company.
