Abstract
Background: Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are disorders of pain, discomfort, and/or damage to bones, joints, ligaments, and other soft tissues, such as nerves and bonds. Data from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in 2010, nurses had the highest MSDs of 27,020 cases. If MSD cases not checked, it can cause dislocations in the backbone that cause irreversible pain (Suma'mur, 2014). Aim: to descript the risk level of MSD in nurses. Research Methods: This study uses the literature review method. The databases used is from Google Scholar, EBSCO, Garuda, and Science Direct with keywords used are the level of risk of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD) in nurses, Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD) in nurses, Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) and nurses. Criteria for inclusions are articles in the last period (2010-2020), Indonesian or English, full text, using a quantitative method, and Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) for nurses. The exclusion criteria for this research study is using the literature review method and articles with qualitative research designs. The data analysis method used is a PRISMA diagram method. Result: from 12 articles were reviewed the researchers found that the MSDs risk level for nurses was high and higher than other health workers. In general, MSDs in nurses often occur in the lower back, neck, shoulder, and knee. Conclusion: the risk level of MSDs for nurses was high, so it requires further intervention by providing tools for transferring patients and programs for nurses to correct ergonomic positions during work.
