Abstract
One of the most important objectives of establishing a company is to improve the prosperity of the owners and the shareholders of the company. The stability of a company’s performance is one of the crucial considerations for the investors to decide an investment in a company. Forecasting the investment can be accomplished by analyzing the company’s financial statements in order to help investors in achieving maximum benefit in the future. This study aims to analyze the effect of capital structure, cash flow, liquidity, investment opportunities, profitability, and firm size on investment decision. The research objects used in this study are hotel, restaurant, and tourism companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2015-2017. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method, from which 25 populations, the samples gathered were 17 companies. This study is a quantitative descriptive research using secondary data in the form of financial statements. The analysis model used in this study is multiple linear regression model. The results of this study indicate that partially, capital structure, liquidity, investment opportunities, profitability have an insignificant negative effect on investment decision. Cash flow has insignificant positive effect on investment decision. Meanwhile, firm size has a significant positive effect on investment decision. Simultaneously, capital structure, cash flow, liquidity, investment opportunities, profitability, and firm size do not have a significant impact on investment decision.
