Abstract

Keinginan masyarakat untuk menjaga kesehatan semakin meningkat, salah satunya adalah dengan bersepeda. Banyak pula masyarakat yang memilih sepeda lipat karena bentuknya yang ergonomis sehingga mudah dibawa dan tidak memakan tempat yang besar. Diantara kelebihan sepeda lipat tersebut, terdapat pula kekurangan dari sepeda lipat yang penulis peroleh berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi. Kekurangan ini terletak pada sadel sepeda lipat yang tidak nyaman, menyebabkan sakit dalam menggunaan lama dan mati pada alat kelamin. Oleh karena itu penulis ingin merancang sadel sepeda lipat yang mengutamakan kenyamanan, sehingga saat bersepeda pengguna tidak mudah lelah akibat posisi yang tidak nyaman. Perancangan ini dilakukan dengan mengobservasi jenis-jenis sadel sepeda lipat yang ada dipasaran sekarang ini dengan mencoba masing – masing tipe sadel untuk dapat dikembangkan lebih baik lagi/The public's desire to maintain health is increasing, one of which is cycling. Many people also choose folding bikes because of their ergonomic shape, so they are easy to carry and do not take up a lot of space. Among the advantages of folding bikes, there are also disadvantages of folding bikes that the author obtained based on the results of interviews and observations. This disadvantage lies in the uncomfortable folding bicycle saddle, causing pain in prolonged use and death of the genitals. Therefore, the author wants to design a folding bicycle saddle that prioritizes comfort, so that when cycling the user does not get tired easily due to an uncomfortable position. This design is carried out by observing the types of folding bicycle saddles on the market today by trying each type of saddle so that it can be developed even better.
