Abstract

Background Patient safety is a system where the hospital makes the patient's care safer. The safety of hospital services is one of them starting from the identification of the patient, if the error identifies the patient it will have an impact on the next health service and its handling, because not all patients who come to the hospital in the conscious state therefore the patient identification will be done correctly effect on handling and diagnosis. Based on preliminary studies at Bali Siloam Hospital there are nurses who do not carry out patient identification and only provide action without identifying the patient.Descriptive quantitative research design. Population all the nurse in the five floor of the Hospitals Siloam Bali as many as 35 nurses. Total sampling samples were 35 nurses. The Cheklist Observational. Study was conducted fro October to December 2017.The results showed that most of the nurses had not carried out patient identification, the results obtained from this study were only 22.8% of inpatient nurses who performed the identification of patients in the inpatient room at Siloam Hospital Bali and 77.8% did not perform patient identification. The management of nursing is expected to consider the results obtained for further improvement and evaluation for improvements to the implementation of patient identification that has been carried out and for subsequent researchers to be able to investigate what factors influence the implementation of patient identification in the hospital ward of Siloam Bali / Latar belakang Patient safety adalah suatu sistem dimana rumah sakit membuat asuhan pasien lebih aman. Keamanan pelayanan di rumah sakit salah satunya dimulai dari ketetapan identifikasi pasien, jika kesalahan mengindentifikasi pasien maka akan berdampak kesalahan pada pelayanan kesehatan selanjutnya dan penangananya, karena tidak semua pasien yang datang ke rumah sakit dalam keadaan sadar oleh karena itu identifikasi pasien yang dilakukan secara benar akan akan berpengaruh terhadap penanganan dan diagnosis. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan di Rumah Sakit Siloam Bali masih terdapat perawat yang tidak melaksanakan identifikasi pasien dan hanya memberikan tindakan tanpa melakukan identifikasi pasien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan identifikasi pasien di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Siloam Bali. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah descritive quantitative observasional. Populasi yang digunakan seluruh perawat berkerja di ruang rawat inap lantai lima rumah sakit Siloam Bali sebanyak 35 perawat. Sampel Total sampling sebanyak 35 perawat. Menggunakan lembar Cheklist observasi pelaksanaan identifikasi pasien. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Oktober hingga Desember 2017. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar perawat belum melaksanakan identifikasi pasien, hasil yang di dapat dari penelitian ini hanya 22,8% perawat rawat inap yang melaksanakan identifikasi pasien di ruang rawat inap di Rumah Sakit Siloam Bali dan 77,8% tidak melaksanakan identifikasi pasien. Pihak manajemen keperawatan diharapkan mempertimbangkan hasil yang di dapatkan ini untuk perbaikan selanjutnya dan evaluasi untuk perbaikan terhadap pelaksanaan identifikasi pasien yang selama ini telah dilaksanakan dan untuk peneliti selanjutnya agar dapat melakukan penelitian faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan identifikasi pasien di ruang rawat inap rumah sakit Siloam Bali.
