Abstract

Di masa pandemi COVID-19, banyak aspek UMKM yang terdampak secara negatif. Salah satunya adalah bengkel modifikasi mobil sesuai dengan pesanan seperti bengkel modifikasi Eagle Modified. Kevin sebagai pemilik bengkel ingin mengembangkan bodykit Lamborghini Aventador agar memiliki lini produk yang siap jual. Bengkel Eagle modified masih menggunakan cara tradisional secara manual dengan tangan, yang sangat memakan waktu, terutama pada saat proses pencerminan. Pada perancangan ini, Imajinari Design Studios (IDS) sebagai studio desain ingin mengembangkan desain bodykit untuk Eagle Modified dengan teknik baru yang lebih efisien dan berbeda dengan produk lain di pasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah: studi literatur, observasi langsung, dan wawancara. Dalam prosesnya, proses perancangan banyak dilakukan secara digital terlebih dahulu, untuk mengurangi kemungkinan penambahan biaya dan waktu. Inspirasi desain bodykit terinspirasi dari mobil balap agar terlihat berbeda di jalan, serta sporty yang selaras dengan desain Lamborghini Aventador. Kemudian, penulis bersama IDS mencoba menerapkan proses perancangan baru: Pindai 3D dan sliceform. Bagian mobil yang sudah dicetak, kemudian di pindai 3D, untuk mendapatkan hasil data digital, yang dapat digunakan untuk proses pencerminan. Untuk membantu proses prototyping, maka digunakan teknik sliceform yang memberikan acuan garis besar dari ukuran dan garis bodi. Hasil dari penerapan ini adalah proses ini dapat mempermudah pencerminan karena sudah ada acuan bentuk dan ukuran secara garis besar, namun dengan beberapa detail yang kurang tampak. Proses pindai 3D dan sliceform baru efektif digunakan untuk pembuatan bagian positif dari bodi (bukan cetakan). Proses perancangan yang diselesaikan secara digital terlebih dahulu dapat mengurangi kemungkinan biaya dan waktu yang terbuang. / During the COVID-19 pandemic, many aspects of MSMEs were negatively affected. One of them is a custom car workshop such as the Eagle Modified. Kevin as the workshop owner wanted to develop a Lamborghini Aventador bodykit so he has a product line that is ready to sell. Eagle Modified workshop still uses the traditional method manually by hand, which is very time consuming, especially during the mirroring process. In this case, Imajinari Design Studios (IDS) as a design studio wants to develop a bodykit design for Eagle Modified with new techniques that more efficient and different from other products on the market. The methods used in the process were: literature study, direct observation, and interviews. In the process, the design process was mostly done digitally, to reduce the possibility of additional costs and time. The bodykit design inspiration is inspired by racing cars to make it look stands out on the road, as well as sportiness that is in line with the design of the Lamborghini Aventador. Then, authors with IDS tried to implement a new design process: 3D scan and sliceform. The parts of the car that have been casted, then 3D scanned, to obtain digital data results, which can be used for the mirroring process. To assist the prototyping process, the sliceform technique is used which provides an outline reference of the size and body line. The result of this application makes mirroring process become easier because there is already an outline of the shape and size reference, but with less details visible. The 3D scan process and sliceform techniques are effectively used for the creation of positive parts of the body (not the mold). The design process that is completed digitally in advance reduces the potential for cost and time to be wasted.
