Abstract

Background: Fall risk is an increased likelihood of a fall that can cause physical injury. The risk of falls can occur in any patient, not only patients who are physically injured but patients with good consciousness can also be experienced. Objective: To identify the implementation of risk prevention education falling on the 6th Floor of the Siloam Public Hospital Pavilion. Method: This research is descriptive Quantitative subject of this research is respondent of inpatient at Floor 6B Pavilion of General Hospital of Siloam amount to 50 people. This study uses total sampling method. Results: The results showed that 24 (48%) respondents rated good but 16 (32%) of respondents rated less and 20 (10%) of respondents assessed enough in the implementation of risk prevention education fell on 6th Floor of Siloam Hospital General Pavilion. Therefore, the high number of patients fell in the hospital because the information (health education) provided is incomplete. Conclusion: The conclusion of this research is that nurses perform the implementation of risk prevention education falls well but there are still less nurses in the implementation of education. Suggestion: It is expected that this research can provide an overview of prevention of risk education in hospital, so that the hospital can dig deeper about the factors causing the implementation of risk prevention education fall less in its implementation / Latar Belakang: Risiko Jatuh adalah suatu peningkatan kemungkinan terjadi jatuh yang dapat menyebabkan cidera fisik. Risiko jatuh dapat terjadi pada setiap pasien, tidak hanya pasien yang mengalami cidera fisik tetapi pasien dengan kesadaran yang baik dapat juga di alami. Tujuan: Untuk mengidentifikasi pelaksanakan edukasi tentang pencegahan risiko jatuh di Lantai 6B Paviliun Umum Rumah Sakit Siloam. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif Kuantitatif subjek penelitian ini adalah responden rawat inap di Lantai 6B Paviliun Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam berjumlah 50 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode total sampling. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 24 (48%) responden menilai baik namun 16 (32%) responden menilai kurang dan 20 (10%) responden menilai cukup dalam pelaksanaan edukasi pencegahan risiko jatuh di Lantai 6B Paviliun Umum Rumah Sakit Siloam. Oleh karena itu, tingginya angka pasien jatuh di rumah sakit dikarenakan informasi (pendidikan kesehatan) yang diberikan kurang lengkap. Kesimpulan: Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perawat melakukan pelaksanaan edukasi pencegahan risiko jatuh dengan baik namun masih ada perawat yang kurang dalam pelaksanaan edukasi. Saran: Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan gambaran tentang pencegahan edukasi risiko jatuh di rumah sakit, sehingga pihak rumah sakit dapat menggali lebih dalam mengenai faktor-faktor penyebab pelaksanaan edukasi pencegahan risiko jatuh kurang dalam pelaksanaannya.
