Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago country that is geographically are land and most of the ocean. In addition, Indonesian territory is also crossed by two mountain path the mountains of the Pacific and Sirkum Mediterranean. Therefore, in Indonesia prone to natural disasters, like a volcano eruption, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, storm and various other natural disasters. Natural disasters can causing loss of material and even fatalities. With the loss the government should provide early warning as one of the first steps to minimize the losses. But so far, natural disasters such as hurricanes often do not get early warning. For all these reasons, this weather station observer is designed. Weather monitoring stations are designed using a several kinds of sensors are: air temperature sensor, air humidity, windspeed and wind direction, air pressure and light intensity. The advantage of this weather station is to provide complete data fast and always accurate provide new data. With the data from the system is expected to help to reduce the loss due to natural disasters, especially hurricanes by providing early warning to the public. From the experimental results can be concluded that the weather station can measure wind speed and wind direction, air temperature and air humidity, air pressure and light intensity well and can display the measurement data into the computer quickly and in the real time.
