Abstract

Background. Surgery is a surgical action on a part of the body that can cause discomfort for the patient. During the postoperative period, one of the goals of the nursing process is to relieve pain. Careful assessment of pain and immediate intervention help patients return to their optimal function quickly. Research purposes. Identify the implementation of pain assessment by nurses in postoperative patients at Inpatient Department 5th floor of Bali Siloam Hospital. Research methods. This research uses quantitative research method with descriptive approach. Respondents in this study were nurses as many as 29 people. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. Data processing is done by descriptive analysis technique. Results. The majority of respondents were found to conduct pain assessment in postoperative patients with an average of pain assessment of 89.66%. Conclusion. Based on the results of research that has been done, it is found that the implementation of pain assessment by nurses in postoperative patients in Inpatient Department 5th Floor Siloam Hospital Bali is nurses have done pain assessment with good / Latar Belakang. Operasi merupakan tindakan pembedahan pada suatu bagian tubuh yang dapat menyebabkan ketidaknyamanan bagi pasien. Selama periode pasca operasi, salah satu tujuan dari proses keperawatan adalah untuk menghilangkan rasa sakit. Pengkajian nyeri yang cermat dan intervensi segera membantu pasien kembali pada fungsi yang optimal dengan cepat. Tujuan Penelitian. Mengidentifikasi pelaksanaan pengkajian nyeri oleh perawat pada pasien pasca operasi di Inpatient Department Lantai 5 Rumah Sakit Siloam Bali. Metode Penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah perawat sebanyak 29 orang. Samperl diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan tehnik analisis deskriptif. Hasil. Mayoritas responden didapatkan melakukan pengkajian nyeri pada pasien pasca operasi dengan rata-rata pelaksanaan pengkajian nyeri yaitu 89,66%. Kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, maka didapatkan bahwa pelaksanaan pengkajian nyeri oleh perawat pada pasien pasca operasi di Inpatient Department Lantai 5 Rumah Sakit Siloam Bali adalah perawat telah melakukan pengkajian nyeri dengan baik.
