Abstract

Communication is the interaction between two or more people who can achieve the desired goals so that there is a good reciprocal relationship for the recipient and the message giver. Effective communication is a very important thing done, errors in the provision or acceptance of information between hospital staff or staff with clients occur because of ineffective communication, the provision of information that is less clear also led to wrong perception to establish a poor relationship between the giver and recipient of information, this is due to the compliance of staff in effective communication. The purpose of this research is to know the factors related to hospital staff compliance in effective communication. This research uses descriptive quantitative research method with cross sectional approach. The population in this research is Siloam Sriwijaya Palembang hospital staff and sample taken by simple random sampling counted 80 people. This instrument tested the validity of reliability to 30 respondents in the same place with different samples using 20 statements. Analysis of data used is univariate analysis. The result of research is mostly (76,25%) skill of respondent including enough category, mostly (90%) Attitude of respondent including enough category and most (92,5%) Knowledge of respondent showed enough category. Further research is expected to be the director of medical services, the head of the nurse of the room, and also the head of the department can provide instruction on effective communication in the breafing that is delivered so that effective communication can continue to be used in hospital service / Komunikasi efektif merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting dilakukan. Kesalahan dalam pemberian maupun penerimaan informasi antar staf atau staf dengan klien dapat terjadi akibat komunikasi yang tidak efektif. Pemberian informasi yang kurang jelas menimbulkan persepsi yang salah sehingga terjalin hubungan yang kurang baik antara pemberi dan penerima informasi. Ketidakpatuhan terhadap komunikasi efektif menyebabkan timbulnya masalah seperti komplain klien dan ketidakpuasan klien dalam mennerima pelayanan hal ini disebabkan oleh kepatuhan staf dalam melakukan komunikasi efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan pelaksanaan staf rumah sakit dalam melakukan komunikasi efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah staf rumah sakit Siloam Sriwijaya Palembang dan sampel diambil secara simple random sampling sebanyak 80 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner yang dibuat sendiri oleh peneliti dan telah dilakukan uji validitas reabilitas. Analisa data menggunakan analisa univariat. Hasil penelitian didapatkan faktor ketrampilan sebagian besar (76,25%) responden termasuk kategori cukup, faktor sikap sebagian besar (90%) responden termasuk kategori cukup dan faktor pengetahuan sebagian besar (92,5%) responden menunjukan kategori cukup. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan mengidentifikasi hubungan faktor-faktor dengan kepatuhan staf dalam melakukan komunikasi efektif dirumah sakit.
