Abstract

Knowledges is a result of "knowing" that occurs after the person performs a sensing of an object, so someone's knowledge can be obtained directly through what is seen and heard about an object. Knowledge in nursing aims as a provision to giving services based on evidence or theory. One of the nursing actions that must be done in Siloam Siloam hospital’s Kupang is to conduct emergency assessment like Early Warning Score (EWS) assessment. EWS is an approach system by scoring based on established parameters and it is adopted from the Royal College of Physicians. EWS is a system the request for assistance to overcome health problems patients at the early based in the assessment of the change in state patients through the observation systematic to all physiological changes patients. The purpose of this research is to know the descriptionof of demography and level nursing knowledges about early warning score in inpatient department siloam hospital’s Kupang. This research used quantitative descriptive method of research. The population in this research is all vocational and professional nurses who are actively working in inpatient department siloam hospital’s Kupang as many 48 people’s. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The technique of data analysis s is univariiate technique analysis. Collected data was conducted in October 2017. The results showed that nurses who have a good knowledge level is 18.75%, and nurses who have a quite knowledge is 81.25%, and there is no one nurses who have less knowledge about EWS / Pengetahuan adalah hasil “tahu” yang terjadi setelah orang mengadakan suatu penginderaan terhadap suatu objek, jadi pengetahuan seseorang bisa didapat secara langsung melalui apa yang dilihat dan didengar terhadap suatu objek. Pengetahuan dalam keperawatan bertujuan sebagai bekal dalam memberikan pelayanan berdasarkan bukti atau teori yang ada. Salah satu tindakan keperawatan yang wajib dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Kupang adalah melakukan pengkajian kedaruratan seperti pengkajian Early Warning Score (EWS). EWS merupakan suatu sistem pendekatan dengan melakukan skoring berdasarkan parameter yang telah ditetapkan dan diadopsi dari Royal College of Physicians. EWS merupakan suatu sistem permintaan bantuan untuk mengatasi masalah kesehatan pasien secara dini yang didasarkan pada penilaian terhadap perubahan keadaan pasien melalui pengamatan yang sistematis terhadap semua perubahan fisiologi pasien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran demografi dan tingkat pengetahuan perawat mengenai Early Warning Score diruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Kupang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh perawat vokasional dan profesional yang aktif bekerja di ruang rawat inap RSUS Kupang yang berjumlah 48 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisa univariat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada Oktober 2017. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perawat yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik sebanyak 18,75%, dan perawat yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan cukup sebanyak presentase 81,25%, serta tidak ada perawat yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan kurang tentang EWS.
