Abstract

Gerakan feminisme sering diasosiasikan sebagai gerakan pembenci laki-laki. Melihat stigma yang tidak benar ini, pada tahun 2014 UN Women menciptakan gerakan HeForShe. HeForShe bertujuan untuk mematahkan stigma tersebut dan mengajak laki-laki untuk ikut berpartisipasi dalam gerakan kesetaraan gender. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk merancang visualisasi gerakan HeForShe agar penyampaian pesan lebih optimal. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi dokumen dan studi pustaka. Pertama, penulis mengumpulkan data mengenai HeForShe melalui dokumen-dokumen resmi dan terpercaya. Kedua, penulis melakukan studi pustaka dengan mempelajari teori-teori yang relevan. Ketiga, penulis menganalisa data yang telah didapat dengan teori yang didapatkan dari studi pustaka. Terakhir, penulis merancang visual karya instalasi berbasis metode storytelling. Instalasi berbasis metode storytelling mampu membawa pengunjung menjadi satu dengan karya sehingga menumbuhkan empati. Dengan tumbuhnya empati, maka pengunjung dapat merasakan urgensi gerakan HeForShe dan ikut berpartisipasi. / Feminism is often associated with man-hating. Based on this untrue stigma, in 2014 UN Women created HeForShe movement. HeForShe aims to break this stigma and invite men to participate in the gender equality movement. This paper aims to design a visualization of the HeForShe movement for optimal message delivery. The method used is document study and literature study. First, the author collected datas about HeForShe through official and trusted documents. Second, the author conducted a literature study by studying relevant theories. Third, the author analyzed the data obtained from the theory obtained from literature studies. Finally, the author designed an installation work based on the storytelling method. A storytelling method-based installation is able to draw the visitors into the installation and they will foster empathy. With empathy, visitors can sense the urgency of the HeForShe movement and participate in it.
