Abstract

Interference on wireless communications can lead to communication failure. Interference caused by two or more systems use a same frequency simultaneously. In LTE TDD which is using the same frequency for uplink and downlink has a higher chance of interference when it was not synchronized well. Therefore, guardband of minimum separation distance (MSD) are needed to reduce the interference probability. In this simulation, there are four interference scenarios. Those scenarios are: base station (BS) interferes base station (BS), mobile station (MS) interferes mobile station (MS), BS interferes MS, and lastly, MS interferes BS. Parameters such as Signal-to-Interference Ratio (SIR), pathloss, standard deviation of log-normal shadowing and receiver sensitivity are used in simulation to count the minimum guardband and MSD between the systems. Simulation will be analyzed by using Matlab software. From this simulation, the result shows that the decrement of outage probability as a function of minimum separation distance and guardband significantly on scenario where base station interferes the other base station. The outage probability that lower than 5% is reached only on scenario base station interferes base station with specification as: 10 km distance, 10 MHz guardband, and 4dB standard deviation. / Interferensi pada komunikasi nirkabel dapat menyebabkan terjadinya kegagalan komunikasi (outage). Interferensi dapat disebabkan oleh penggunaan frekuensi yang sama pada waktu bersamaan. Pada sistem komunikasi LTE TDD yang menggunakan frekuensi sama untuk uplink dan downlink memiliki peluang interferensi lebih tinggi apabila tidak tersinkronisasi. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan guardband atau jarak pisah minimum (MSD) antar alat komunikasi untuk mengurangi interferensi. Dalam simulasi ini dipelajari empat buah skenario interferensi yaitu: Base Station (BS) menginterferensi Base Station (BS), Mobile Station (MS) menginterferensi Mobile Station (MS), BS menginterferensi MS, dan MS menginterferensi BS. Parameter-paramter seperti SIR, pathloss, standar deviasi log-normal shadowing dan kepekaan penerima digunakan dalam simulai untuk menghitung minimum guardband dan MSD antar teknologi. Simulais dilakukan dengan menggunakan software Matlab. Dari analisis ini didapatkan hasil sebagai berikut: penurunan probabilitas outage sebagai fungsi MSD dan guardband yang paling signifikan terjadi pada skenario BS menginterferensi BS. Probabilitas yang memiliki nilai lebih kecil dari 5% hanya pada kondisi MSD 10 km, guardband 10MHz dan standar deviasi 4 dB pada skenario BS menginterferensi BS.
