Abstract

Novel merupakan salah satu media yang berisikan teks atau narasi-narasi fiksi. Di mana terdapat dunia imajinatif yang terkandung dalam teks cerita. Media-media seperti novel juga dapat diadaptasikan kedalam media atau karya seni lainnya yaitu novel grafis. Penulis pun memakai cerita Semua Ikan di Langit sebagai cerita yang akan penulis adaptasikan. Semua Ikan di Langit merupakan novel fantasi yang menceritakan mengenai petualangan Bus (sebuah bus tua yang beroperasi di kota Bandung) si tokoh utama dan Beliau seorang sosok mahakuasa yang digambarkan sebagai anak kecil. Cerita dalam Semua Ikan di Langit mengandung nilai-nilai kehidupan yang dikemas seperti dongeng untuk anak-anak. Penulis mengadaptasikan novel Semua Ikan di Langit menjadi novel grafis. Novel grafis dipilih karena memiliki kelebihan tersendiri yang ada pada gambar, daripada novel pada umumnya yang hanya terdiri dari teks. Perancangan novel grafis Semua Ikan di Langit dilakukan dengan mengadaptasi satu bagian cerita yang mengenalkan dan menjelaskan siapa tokoh Beliau. Pendekatan visual yang dilakukan secara garis besar adalah menggunakan gaya gambar yang sesuai dengan anak-anak dan pemilihan warna yang dapat merepresentasikan tema kesedihan yang dikandung dalam cerita./Novel is one of the media that contains text or fictional narratives. Where there is an imaginative world contained in the story. Media such as novels can also be adapted into other media or works of art, namely graphic novels. The writer also uses the story of Semua Ikan di Langit as a story that the writer will adapt. Semua Ikan di Langit is a fantasy novel that tells about the adventures of Bus (an old city bus in Bandung) as the main character and Beliau an omnipotent figure that is portrayed as an innocent child. The story in Semua Ikan di Langit contains life values that are packaged like a fairy tale for children. The writer adapted the novel Semua Ikan di Langit into a graphic novel. The graphic novel medium was chosen because it has its own advantages that are related to images within the graphic novel, whereas the novel only uses text. The design of the graphic novel Semua Ikan di Langit is done by adapting a part of the story that introduces and explains who Beliau is as a character. The visual approach taken in general is to use a drawing style that suitable for children and the colors that are used in the graphic novel are color that represents sadness as sadness itself is a theme in the story.
