Abstract

Tradisi adalah sesuatu yang melekat pada kehidupan masyarakat yang dijalankan secara terus menerus, seperti: adat, budaya, kebiasaan dan kepercayaan. Salah satu tradisi yang ada di Indonesia yaitu petan, sebuah tradisi masyarakat Jawa yang artinya mencari kutu. Sebuah kebiasaan lain yang saat ini masih cukup kuat di masyarakat yaitu overcontrolling urusan rumah tangga yang dilakukan oleh mertua. Dimana kebiasaan tersebut bermula karena ibu mertua merasa berkuasa atas anak, mencampuri tanpa diminta, serta selalu menganggap rendah menantu. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menambah wawasan masyarakat tentang budaya lokal khususnya petan, serta timbulnya kesadaran akan dampak dari overcontrolling rumah tangga anak melalui media film yang bergenre drama komedi. / Tradition is something that is inherent in people's lives that are carried out continuously, such as: customs, culture, habits and beliefs. One of the traditions that exist in Indonesia is Petan, a Javanese tradition which means looking for lice. Another habit that is currently still quite strong in the community is the overcontrolling of household affairs carried out by the in-laws. Where the habit begins because the mother-in-law feels in control of the child, interferes without being asked, and always looks down on the daughter-in-law. The purpose of this study was to increase the public's insight about local culture, especially Petan Traditions, as well as to raise awareness of the impact of overcontrolling children's households through film media with comedy drama genre.
