Abstract

High-alert medications are drugs that often cause serious (sentinel event) errors. In addition, high-risk drugs cause adverse outcomes such as drugs that look similar and sound similar (Similar Drug and Speech Name / NORUM, or Look Alike Sound Alike / LASA). The purpose of this study was to identifiy the knowledge of nurses in regard with the management of concentrated sodium chloride solution at the inpatient of Siloam Hospitals Lippo Cikarang (SHLC). The method of this study applied a descriptive design with quantitative approach. The population of this study were nurses in the hospital unit of hospital siloam lippo cikarang (31 nurses). The sampling method of this study used a total sampling technique. The results of the data analysis using computer system showed that nurses' knowledge about the management of concentrated potassium chloride solution was in the category of good. It is suggested for further study that the need of larger number of the respondent to represent the population / Obat-obatan yang perlu diwaspadai (high-alert medications) adalah obat yang sering menyebabkan terjadi kesalahan/kesalahan serius (sentinel event), obat yang berisiko tinggi menyebabkan dampak yang tidak diinginkan (adverse outcome) seperti obat-obat yang terlihat mirip dan kedengarannya mirip (Nama Obat Rupa dan Ucapan Mirip/NORUM, atau Look Alike Sound Alike/LASA). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasikan pengetahuan perawat tentang pengelolaan larutan natrium klorida pekat di rawat inap Siloam Hospital Lippo Cikarang (SHLC). Metode menggunakan desain deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah perawat yang ada di unit rawat inap rumah sakit siloam lippo cikarang sebanyak 31 perawat. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dengan teknik total sampling. Analisa data dengan menggunakan sistem komputer. hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan perawat tentang pengelolaan larutan kalium klorida pekat adalah kategori pengetahuan baik. Disarankan untuk peneliti selanjutnya dapat melakukan pengembangan penelitian ini dengan jumlah responden yang lebih besar untuk merepresentasikan populasi.
