Abstract

Film adalah sebuah media yang digunakan untuk menceritakan sebuah cerita dalam bentuk audio dan visual. Film sebagai bentuk seni dapat digunakan sebagai alat untuk mengkomunikasikan fenomena yang terjadi secara sosial dalam suatu masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, tugas akhir ini merupakan penulis yang berperan sebagai produser dalam film fiksi pendek yang berjudul “Luckiest Man on Earth”. / Film is a medium used to tell a story in the form of audio and visual. Film as an art form can be used as a tool to communicate about phenomena that occur socially in a society. Therefore, this final project is a writer who acts as a producer of the short fiction film "Luckiest Man on Earth". This final project contains a report describing the theory and process of making the fictional film "The Luckiest Man on Earth" from the point of view of the writer as a producer. The fictional film "The Luckiest Man on Earth" tells the story of a motorcycle taxi driver at a tourist spot who meets a French biology student. By using Google translate they can talk to one another, but this is used by the motorcycle taxi driver as a material to show off to his friends, exes and family. This film is based on the concept of the inferiority complex which is deeply embedded in Indonesian society. The contents of this report summarize the process of designing, producing and ending the fictional film "The Luckiest Man on Earth". Tugas akhir ini berisi laporan yang menjelaskan tentang teori dan proses pembuatan film fiksi “Luckiest Man on Earth” dari sudut pandang penulis sebagai produser. Film fiksi “Luckiest Man on Earth” bercerita tentang seorang pengemudi ojek di sebuah tempat wisata yang bertemu dengan seorang mahasiswa biologi Prancis. Dengan menggunakan google terjemahan mereka bisa saling berbicara, namun hal ini dimanfaatkan oleh tukang ojek sebagai bahan pamer kepada teman, mantan dan keluarganya. Film ini diangkat dari konsep inferiority complex yang tertanam kuat dalam masyarakat Indonesia. Isi laporan ini merangkum proses merancang, memproduksi dan mengakhiri film fiksi “Luckiest Man on Earth”
