Abstract

Falling is an activity that causes a person to accidentally fall on the floor or soil. The incident of falls become one of the hospital guidelines in improving patient safety. Patient safety becomes a global issue especially in hospitals. The percentage of incident falls in Indonesia is very high so that the incident of falls becomes five big cases besides medication error. There is a lot of incidence of patient falls with one of the cause is the slippery environtment. The purpose of this study is to determine descriptive the factor affecting the risk of falling in inpatient room Sinai Siloam Hospitals Kebon Jeruk. The study will use descriptive Quantitative. The research population is patient in Sinai with 200 respondents. The sample is take with purposive sampling for 136 respondents. The data will take with the quesionner for October until November and will use univariat analysis data. From the results of research respondents most dominant male and age range of respondents at most 38 - 52 years. The number of respondents who had heart problems were 87 (64.0%), limb disruption 91 (66.9%), central nervous system disorder 73 (53.7%), visual disturbance 78 (57.4%), and disturbance hearing 25 (18.4%) risked falling from 136 respondents. External factors respondents use 50 walking aids (36.8%) and unsafe environment as much as 11 (8.1%) of 136 respondents / Jatuh adalah aktivitas yang menyebabkan seseorang terjatuh dengan tidak sengaja di lantai atau tanah. Kejadian jatuh menjadi pedoman rumah sakit dalam meningkatkan keselamatan pasien. Keselamatan pasien menjadi isu global terutama dalam rumah sakit. Kejadian jatuh di Indonesia sangat tinggi sehingga menjadi lima kasus besar selain medication error. Penyebab kejadian pasien jatuh sangat banyak salah satunya faktor lingkungan yang licin sehingga membuat seseorang jatuh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran faktor yang memengaruhi risiko jatuh di ruang Sinai Siloam Hospitals Kebon Jeruk. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah pasien di ruang Sinai dengan jumlah 200 responden. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah 136 responden. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner yang berlangsung pada bulan Oktober sampai November 2017 dengan menggunakan analisa data univariat. Dari hasil penelitian responden paling dominan laki – laki dan rentang usia responden paling banyak 38 – 52 tahun. Jumlah responden yang mengalami gangguan jantung sebanyak 87 (64,0%), gangguan anggota gerak 91 (66,9%), gangguan sistem saraf pusat 73 (53,7%), gangguan penglihatan 78 (57,4%), dan gangguan pendengaran 25 (18,4%) berisiko jatuh dari 136 responden. Faktor eksternal responden menggunakan alat bantu berjalan 50 (36,8%) dan lingkungan tidak aman sebanyak 11 (8,1%) dari 136 responden.
