Abstract
Sejarah, adat, dan budaya memiliki nilainya masing-masing dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Beberapa hal ini yang menjadi satu untuk tragedi yang terjadi pada 12 Mei 1998. “Terkisah Lampu” mengangkat kisah sebagai inspirasi untuk tema utama film yaitu dukacita dan budaya. Tema dukacita diangkat untuk menunjukkan sisi lain dari tragedi 1998, dan menunjukkan dampak kehilangan pada orang tua. Penelitian ini menitikberatkan aspek visual dari film yang bertujuan menambah wawasan kepada masyarakat atas kepentingan aspek visual dalam film untuk membangun suasana dan mendukung tema utama dalam film.
