Abstract

Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA) merupakan infeksi akut yang menyerang satu atau lebih saluran napas dari hidung sampai ke alveoli. ISPA mendominasi penyebab kematian pada balita di dunia. Menurut data Puskesmas Mopah Baru Kabupaten Merauke tahun 2021, ISPA merupakan penyakit nomor satu yang sering menyerang masyarakat di Kabupaten Merauke sebanyak 696 orang. Faktor penting kasus ISPA pada anak adalah pengetahuan orang tua. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengetahuan orang tua tentang pencegahan ISPA pada anak usia 1 - 5 tahun di suatu Kecamatan Merauke. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, jumlah populasi orang tua yang memiliki anak usia 1-5 tahun adalah 100 Kepala Keluarga, dan jumlah minimal sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah 80 Kepala Keluarga dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa seluruh orang tua memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang pencegahan ISPA pada anak usia 1-5 tahun yaitu sebanyak 86 orang (100%), sehingga penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah informasi kepada orang tua yang memiliki balita terkait pencegahan ISPA pada balita dan juga dapat digunakan untuk penelitian lebih lanjut. / Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is an acute infection that attacks one or more airways from the nose to the alveoli. ISPA dominating cause of death among children under five in the world. According to data from Puskesmas Mopah Baru, Merauke Regency in 2021, ISPA is the number one disease that often attacks people in Merauke Regency as many as 696 people. One of the important factors in the occurrence of ARI in children is the knowledge of the parents. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of parents about the prevention of ARI in children aged 1-5 years in a district of Merauke. This study uses a quantitative method with descriptive approach, the population of parents who have children aged 1-5 years were 100 heads of household, and the minimum number of samples taken in this study were 80 heads of household with purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The data analysis used was univariate analysis. The results of this study indicate that all parents have good knowledge about the prevention of ARI in children aged 1-5 years, namely as many as 86 people (100%), so this research is expected to add information to parents who have children under five regarding the prevention of ARI in toddlers can also be used for further research.
