Abstract

Irama Nusantara merupakan organisasi nirlaba non-pemerintah, yang menginisiasikan upaya pendataan dan pengarsipan musik populer Indonesia. Pengarsipan dinilai sebagi hal yang sangat penting, mengingat ini merupakan kegiatan untuk mendokumentasikan perjalanan sejarah. Publikasi digital dalam hal ini website digunakan sebagai media untuk pengarsipan musik Indonesia, sehingga bisa diakses dengan mudah oleh semua kalangan. Sangat disayangkan jika website yang digunakan tidak memiliki kemudahan dan efisiensi bagi para penggunanya. Perancangan ini dibuat untuk memperbaiki website yang sebelumnya sudah ada namun terbilang tidak cukup mudah dalam pemakaiannya. Dalam pengerajaannya beberapa metode dilakukan sebelum perancangan ini yaitu, wawancara, studi pustaka, observasi. Setelah dilakukan wawancara kepada beberapa responden, serta melakukan studi literatur ditemukan ternyata permasalahan dalam website Irama Nusantara ialah navigasi yang kurang efektif dan efisien. Kemudian masalah yang tidak kalah penting ialah konsep visual yang kurang representatif dengan musik Irama Nusantara. Harapannya dengan perancangan ulang ini, website memiliki navigasi yang lebih efisien dan efektif, dan tentunya tampilan yang lebih menarik sehingga semakin mengundang banyak orang yang ingin menggunakan website Irama Nusantara dan ingin tahu tentang arsip musik populer Indonesia. Kata Kunci: Desain Komunikasi Visual, Desain Grafis, Publikasi digital, Arsip, Website, Irama Nusantara/Irama Nusantara is a non-governmental non-profit organization, which initiates efforts to collect and archive Indonesian popular music. Archiving is considered as a very important thing, considering this is an activity to record the historical journey. Digital publications, in this case the website, are used as a medium for archiving Indonesian music, so that they can be access easily by all people. It’s unfortunate if the website that we want to use do not have the ease and efficiency for its users. This project was made to improve a website that previously existed but was not easy enough to use. In its implementation, several methods were carried out before this project such as, interviews, literature studies, and observations. After conducting interviews with several respondents, as well as conducting a literature study, it was found that the problem on the Irama Nusantara’s website was that navigation was less effective and efficient. Then the problem that is no less-important is the visual concept that is less representative of what Irama Nusantara's music talk about It is hoped that with this redesign project, the website will have a more efficient and effective navigation, and of course a more attractive appearance so that it will attract more people who want to use the Irama Nusantara’s website and want to know about Indonesia's popular music archives.
