Abstract

Rokok mengandung nikotin yang menyebabkan ketergantungan bagi para perokok dan menimbulkan penyakit seperti ISPA, PPOK, hipertensi, penyakit jantung koroner, stroke, serta berbagai penyakit lainnya (Herawati, 2010). Permen nikotin merupakan salah satu bentuk dari terapi pengganti nikotin yang dikonsumsi secara oral untuk membantu menghentikan kebiasaan merokok dan tidak menimbulkan adiksi pada perokok (Vito & Irene, 2014). Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan perokok di suatu wilayah di Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu perokok aktif di suatu wilayah di Tangerang dengan jumlah 59 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu accidental sampling dengan menggunakan analisis data univariat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perokok yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik sebanyak 2 responden (3,40%), tingkat pengetahuan cukup sebanyak 25 responden (42,37%), dan tingkat pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 32 responden (54,23%). Diharapkan bagi instansi pendidikan dan kesehatan dapat melakukan penyuluhan dan edukasi kepada para perokok terkait permen nikotin untuk dapat membantu menghentikan kebiasaan merokok/Cigarettes contain nicotine which causes dependence on smokers and causes diseases such as ARI, COPD, hypertension, coronary heart disease, stroke, and various other diseases (Herawati, 2010). Nicotine candy is a form of nicotine replacement therapy that is taken orally to help stop smoking and does not cause addiction in smokers (Vito & Irene, 2014). The purpose of this study is to describe the level of knowledge of smokers in an area in Tangerang. This research uses quantitative methods with a descriptive approach. The sample in this study is active smokers in an area in Tangerang with a total of 59 respondents. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling using univariate data analysis. The results of this study indicate that smokers who have a good knowledge level are 2 respondents (3.40%), 25 respondents (42.37%) have sufficient knowledge, and 32 respondents (54.23%) have a low level of knowledge. It is hoped that education and health agencies can provide counseling and education to smokers related to nicotine candy to help stop smoking.
