Abstract

Self Directed Learning merupakan proses penerapan dimana individu memiliki inisiatif dengan atau tanpa bantuan orang lain dalam menentukan prioritas belajar. Kesiapan Self Directed Learning didefinisikan sebagai level kesiapan kemampuan seseorang dalam belajar mandiri yang terdiri dari tiga komponen yaitu sikap, kemampuan dan karakteristik personal. Hasil wawancara pada 10 mahasiswa tahun pertama di salah satu universitas swasta di tangerang tentang kesiapan self directed learning menyatakan masing-masing mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kesiapan yang berbeda. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah melihat gambaran kesiapan Self Directed Learning pada mahasiswa tahun pertama di salah satu universitas swasta di Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pengambilan sample accidental sampling pada 167 responden mahasiswa keperawatan tahun pertama. Teknik analisa yang digunakan adalah Univariat dengan uji stastistik menggunakan SPSS. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner Self Directed Learning Readiness dari Fisher and King. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tingkat kesiapan kategori tinggi sebesar 25,1 %, kategori sedang sebesar 50,9 % dan rendah sebesar 24,0 %. Dari tiga komponen disebutkan bahwa komponen self control berada di posisi paling tinggi dibanding desire of learning dan self management. Disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa keperawatan tahun pertama telah memiliki kemandirian dalam belajar namun perlu meningkatkan strategi dan identifikasi dalam kebutuhan belajar. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu referensi ketika melakukan penelitian selanjutnya serta sebagai sarana untuk menambah pengetahuan akan pentingnya memiliki kesiapan dalam pembelajaran mandiri./Self Directed Learning is an application process where individuals have the initiative with or without the help of others in determining learning priorities. Self Directed Learning Readiness is defined as the level of readiness of a person's ability to learn independently which consists of three components, namely attitudes, abilities and personal abilities. The results of interviews with 10 first-year students at a private university in Tangerang about independent learning readiness, which stated that each student has a different level of readiness. The purpose of this research is to see a picture of the readiness of Self Directed Learning in first-year students at one of the private universities in Tangerang. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with an accidental sampling of 167 responden first-year student nursing. The analysis technique used is Univariate with statistic test SPSS. The research instrument used the Self Directed Learning Readiness from Fisher and King. The results showed a high level of readiness of 25.1%, medium at 50.9% and a low level of 24.0%. Based on three components it is state that Self Control is in the highest position compared to the Desire of Learning and Self Management. Conclusion the first-year nusing student had independence in learning but needed to improve strategies and identified learning needs. This research is expected to be a reference when conducting further research as well as a means to increase knowledge of the importance of readiness in independent learning.
