Abstract

Corona virus disease (Covid-19) mengejutkan dunia pada akhir tahun 2019. Data laporan Covid-19 pada 13 Februari 2021, secara global jumlah terkonfirmasi Covid-19 sebanyak 107.838.255 kasus. Satgas Covid-19 melaporkan jumlah terkonfirmasi Covid-19 di Indonesia sebanyak 1.210.703 kasus, sedangkan jumlah terkonfirmasi Covid-19 di Kota Gunungsitoli sebanyak 682 kasus. Covid-19 adalah penyakit baru yang belum pernah diidentifikasi sebelumnya. Kurangnya pengetahuan menjadi faktor munculnya stigma terhadap orang yang dianggap mempunyai hubungan dengan virus ini. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan tentang pencegahan dan pengendalian Covid-19 dengan stigma pada pasien Covid-19. Penelitian dilakukan pada Januari-Mei 2021. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 399 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner pengetahuan tentang pencegahan dan pengendalian Covid-19 dengan nilai cronbach’s alpha 0,725 dan kuesioner stigma dengan nilai cronbach’s alpha 0,754. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji rank spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat di Kota Gunungsitoli tergolong baik (47,4%), sedangkan stigma masyarakat tergolong rendah (59,1%). Hasil uji rank spearman menunjukkan ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan tentang pencegahan dan pengendalian Covid-19 dengan stigma pada pasien Covid-19 dengan nilai korelasi -0,267. Oleh karena itu, disarankan adanya peningkatan informasi yang valid dan mudah dimengerti sehingga masyarakat terbebas dari stigma. / Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) shocked the world at the end of 2019. Data on the Covid-19 report on February 13th, 2021, globally there were number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 was 107,838,255 cases. Satgas Covid-19 reported data of Covid-19 patients in Indonesia as many as 1,210,703 cases, meanwhile the total of Covid-19 patients in Gunungsitoli City was 682 cases. Covid-19 is a new disease that has never been previously identified. Lack of knowledge is a factor in the emergence of stigma. The purpose is to identify the correlation between the level of knowledge about prevention and control of Covid-19 and stigma in Covid-19 patients. The research was conducted on January-May 2021. The research used a correlational quantitative research. The sample in this study were 399 respondents. The instruments of this study were a knowledge questionnaire about the prevention and control of Covid-19 has been tested for VR with a cronbach's alpha value of 0.725 and a stigma questionnaire that has been tested for VR with a cronbach's alpha value of 0.754. The collected data analyzed with univariate and bivariate analysis using the rank spearman test. The results showed that the level of public knowledge in Gunungsitoli City was classified as good (47.4%), meanwhile the public's stigma classified as low (59.1%). The results of the Spearman rank test show that there is a correlation between level of knowledge about the prevention and control of Covid-19 and the stigma in Covid-19 patients with a correlation value of -0.267. Therefore, the government must take control and increase the quality of the information spread in public, so that the public’s stigma will decrease.
