Abstract

Latar Belakang: Tantrum atau Temper Tantrum merupakan sebuah letupan kemarahan yang bersifat negatif yang terjadi dikarenakan anak ingin menarik perhatian orang dewasa juga sebagai bentuk pelampiasan perasaan anak terhadap orang tua atau orang sekitar. Temper tantrum biasanya terjadi pada anak ussia toddler (1-3 tahun), namun apabila tantrum dibiarkan terus menerus dapat mengganggu perkembangan emosional pada anak. Tujuan: untuk mengetahui hubungan jenis pola asuh yang diterapkan orang tua dalam merawat anak dengan kejadian temper tantrum pada anak usia prasekolah (3-6 tahun) di Desa Kolongan Tetempangan, Kab. Minahasa Utara. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasinya seluruh orang tua di Desa Kolongan Tetempangan, Kab. Minahasa Utara yang memiliki anak usia prasekolah. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 123 orang dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian adalah kuesioner pola asuh orang tua dan temper tantrum anak. Hasil: Peneliti menemukan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan kejadian temper tantrum anak usia prasekolah (3-6 tahun) di Desa Kolongan Tetempangan, Kab. Minahasa Utara didapatkan data hasil analisis korelasi Chi square nilai p-value= 0,699 (> 0,05). Kesimpulan: Kejadian temper tantrum pada anak tidak selalu dikarenakan pola asuh orang tua yang kurang baik, tetapi bisa dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya./Background: Tantrum or Temper Tantrum is a negative outburst of anger that occurs because the child wants to attract the attention of adults as well as a form of venting the child's feelings towards parents or those around them. Temper tantrums usually occur in toddlers (1-3 years), but if tantrums are allowed to continue, they can interfere with emotional development in children. Objective: to see the relationship between the types of parenting that parents apply in caring for children with the incidence of temperament in preschool children (3-6 years) in Kolongan Tetempangan Village, Kab. North Minahasa. Methods: This study uses a descriptive quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. The population is all elderly people in Kolongan Tetempangan Village, Kab. North Minahasa with preschool age children. The sample in this study was 123 people with purposive sampling technique. The instrument in this study was a parenting style questionnaire and children's temper tantrums. Results: Researchers found that there was no relationship between parenting styles and the incidence of temper tantrums for preschool children (3-6 years) in Kolongan Tetempangan Village, Kab. North Minahasa obtained data from the correlation analysis of Chi square p-value = 0.699 (> 0.05). Conclusion: The incidence of temper tantrums in children is not always due to poor parenting, but can be influenced by other factors.
