Abstract

Quality today is a key differentiator in the crowded market. When company fails to meet customers' expectation, customers will quickly look for alternatives. Es Teler 77 is a family oriented business that focused on traditional Indonesian food.The purpose of the research is to analyze product quality impacts towards customer satisfaction at Es Teler 77 Sun Plaza Medan. Product quality is the ability of a product to perform its functions includes durability, reliability, accuracy, ease of operation and repair as well as other valuable attributes. Meanwhile customer satisfaction is a measurement of how a company’s total product performs in relation to set of customer’s expectations. This research used quantitative associative method. The research method was conducted by preliminary interviews, questionnaires. Data analysis method used is simple linear regression. The population of Es Teler 77 Sun Plaza Medan is 93 people which is also become the sample. The result of correlation of determination is 71.7% means that the product quality variable has influenced 71.1% to the customer satisfaction. The result of hypothesis Z-Test shows that Zcount 6.76 is bigger than Ztable 1.96. Therefore, Ha is accepted means that there is an influence of product quality on customer satisfaction at Es Teler 77 Sun Plaza Medan. Based on the finding, the company is recommended to improve the design of the restaurant and pays more attention to the taste of the food. Besides, improvement also can be made in term of customer service and restaurant’s reputation by making promotion.
